As far as I’m concerned, ‘Womp Stomp’ _are_ now the legit creators. Their _Never Hike_ stuff is perfect in how it continues the story in an uncomplicated and ‘back to basics’ way, staying true to the franchise whose reigns they’ve picked up whilst integrating enough modern technical skill and expertise to breathe a new life into it. I somewhat doubt that even a well-intentioned mainstream movie studio (who own the rights to _Friday the 13th_ now anyway? - New Line or Paramount?), could craft something as good as this nowadays. As ‘goofy’ as it sounds, you can tell that Womp Stomp invest very real love into this franchise and I don’t think that a profit-motivated movie studio could do that nowadays (and I’m not bashing investing, profiteering or capitalism at all - I just don’t think that they’d attempt to make another _Friday the 13th_ in any non-cynical way ‘cos as the proverb goes they’d only be able to throw together some committee-designed ‘horse’ that in actuality more closely resembled an ugly stinking camel). I also love that they’ve evolved the name of the franchise beyond ‘Friday the 13th’ into the ‘Never Hike [XYZ]’ format.

Friday the 13th part 6 is my favorite movie from the franchise and Tommy (Thom Mathews) is by far my favorite final character. The fact that you snatched up Thom for two films and a possible third is insane. My dream has always been to see Tommy (Thom) reprise his role and go head to head with Jason (Kane Hodder). Y'all might not have Kane, but I'm happy with Thom returning.

Never Hike Alone 2 was the original name for the project before we broke it intoepisodes." Here is a breakdown of how the names were created: Never Hike in the Snow. = Prologue (Pilot) Never Hike Again = Act 1 Jason Takes Crystal Lake = Act 2 The Final Hike = Act 3 It will become become more clear why once people see the film and we'll do a break down of it on the Ghost Files as well

Yes, remember, we were supposed to do 4 episodes back to back. That way fundraising would be easier and we could focus on smaller bites. Covid stopped us from being able to do that. Now we just want to make the rest so the feature film was reassembled as a feature script again.

This is gonna get me and my dad talking about this for months. I love Friday the 13th and Jason Voorhees as a character and I was inspired by Never Hike Alone to make my own Friday the 13th fan film with my own timeline concepts. Thank wimp stomp films for giving us fans something to cherish for generations to come

Might spice things up if Tommy talked about why Jason is the way he is and perhaps a folklore of Crystal Lake, an ancient native American curse, is mentioned about giving someone with a big enough grudge the power to get his revenge, but the problem with Jason is that he refuses to let go. That even after killing Alice Hardy he still wanted his revenge, thus making those he killed afterwards scapegoats that he.... irrationally.... blamed for the death of his mother. A curse so powerful that not even death can hold Jason, which is something Tommy has experienced when he saw the bastard rise from his grave after being dead for years. Perhaps even mention that Roy Burns, who wanted revenge for his son, was perhaps influenced by Jason's spirit through the curse because Tommy back then could somehow sense that Jason was there in essence as if he was trying to come back and even tried to do the same to Tommy. That it's all about a grudge that refuses to die.

This isn't Jason-related, but this made me think about Freddy Krueger and how a new Night Mare on Elm Street would be a cool thing as well. If it was treated as a supernatural crime thriller where Detectives are trying to figure out what is killing all these kids, where they discover the history of Fred Krueger and how his crimes are different from most Child Murders. Since most Child Murderers have a sexual component to their kills. Freddy's kills were not sexual, for Freddy preyed on their fear and not their flesh to cause them pain, and because Freddy's murders stood out differently from your rune of the mill pedophile murderer, maybe that is what made the forces of hell choose him to be a dream demon in training.

Thank you for giving us new extensions in the franchise (NHA is better then some of the Cannon Ft13th imo). Now all we need is a call back to each film lol. Part 2 - an old wheel chair left by the stairs Part 3 - a burnt pot of popcorn Part 4 - either a smashed banana or an old Tommy mask Part 5 - enchiladas sale Part 6 - several paint ball enthusiasts in the back ground or someone mentioning a corporate team building event Part 7 - blonde girl coming from a jewelry store exclaiming she got her pearls fixed Part 8 - flyer for Julius Gym for boxing lessons Obviously these are jokes or would baloon production costs, while others are gags but some are possible with little effort. Everything in the Friday the 13th franchise is canon. For Never Hike Alone, I put a fork in the road at Part 8 and Jason Goes to Hell. Anything from JTGH to FvJ is not a part of the Never Hike Alone timeline. This is an attempt to finish the original Paramount era films. Hope that answers your questions. Good news. Those 3 installments are all one film now. Always were really. Never Hike Alone 2 is a big project. Before Snow, most we raised was 50K. Not enough to make the feature so we split NHA2 into 3 pieces and added on Snow as a prologue. Then we raised 100K for Snow. Then the pandemic hit. Our plans were impacted greatly, but we saw we had more support than every before so... 2 years later, instead of making fans wait for us to crowdfund and produce 3 different shorts, we combined the 3 parts back into 1 film and raised 223K and counting to make it all at once. Not a bad thing at all.

Really enjoyed Never Hike Alone. But thought Snow was a bit of a letdown. Running time affected it imo. I am looking forward to this final chapter but am shocked how much the crowd funding prices have gone way up compared to the last one. $55 US for a bluray copy for Canadians? Can't justify spending that much to me this time. Hope you reach your target and I'll gladly pay a normal price for it once it's done.

Appreciate your feedback Alan. Pandemic cut the mini-series short. We planned to have the first two done but got delayed. Prices went up because vendors are charging more and postal service jumped $5 in Canada in 1 year. We had to make a hard choice of raising prices so there was enough going to making the film.
