It's kinda different if meeting her in person is unavoidable, plus there is no reason why you can't have closure after time apart and then talk to her to see how she is. My point is that, looks matter unless you're being hit on by someone with lower standards than normal, has a drug / alcohol or severe weight issue. There is someone out there for everybody, but if you don't take care of yourself, you're chances are vastly minimised. It is indeed about chemistry, but chemistry is also about attraction. People can be so focused about their career also, and this can be detrimental to any relationship because they don't spend enough time with them, or show them enough care. Also don't forget what women are primarily looking for in a man, the key attributes, be that physical or mental linked to any children they may have or are able to provide in their upbringing. It's all about physical compatibility and acceptability for each others life and situation whatever that may be as one learns more about the person they are intertest in. That's my perspective.

There should be no time set for no contact. It’s not to try to get her back, it’s to move on and focus on you. If she comes back, great, but most likely you’ll get to a point where you don’t want her because you will have levelled yourself up.
