I think Nick sacrificed himself for his sister. Like the theme was always that she saved him, but in the end it was HIM who saved her. This was such a brilliant storyline and plot. Also, it was so freaking cool. The concept was really original and they definitely did it justice. I really wanna see more from the people who made this game because WOW. 10/10 in all categories imo.

We had a pretty traumatic childhood, the worst of it being when we were in our early teens. We were the best of friends growing up and even more so during our teen years when pretty much all we had was each other.. But since we've been adults, it's been different. We still see each other quite often but don't really talk at all. We've barely said two words to each other in probably 10 years.

So, my idea of the ending was probably: Nick was probably sucked into the game and had to try to defeat the demon or do something like that to get out but had a hope of returning (remember that he had said that he would be back in a while at the start). However, because his sister went into the game to save him and he protected her, he probably ended up dead or otherwise passed the point of no return in exchange for her freedom. Pretty horrible.
