I think a good dose of hunting is incredible for a young horse and their education and confidence. It asks them to get in and out of anything in sometimes horrid conditions underfoot and take what ever is presented to them. Tonic was obviously bred for the job. He’s so cool calm and capable.

@@88888aliwdym it’s not bad. It is bad, and it’s actually terrifying. I’m an equestrian myself, or I usually do barrels. But it’s the same thing, there are things to worry about when riding. You don’t know what will happen nor when it will. You really gotta rely on your, horse and your own directions when riding. Apologies if I sounded quite rude. But it is scary, I’ve fell off before but don’t quite remember anything or what have of happened.

The hedge incident reminded me of a charity fun ride I did once. In their wisdom the organisers put me in a group together with three schoolgirls on ponies and an amateur jockey on a point-to-pointer, which pretty soon became just me and the jockey. He seemed to know the country and suggested we pop over a nice hedge on the far side of the field. I followed his lead towards what looked like a reasonably jumpable hedge, when he veered off towards a humungous hedge at right angles to it. As my horse lengthened his stride I felt he was going to follow the other horse over it. Needless to say the other horse sailed over it, and my horse seemed about to launch when… crash! I found myself buried in the hedge watching in horror as he tried to free his feet that were wedged in a piece of rusty metal fencing which had been hidden within the hedge. I turned my head as he clunked my helmet with the metal grid, and when I looked back he was gone. When we caught him at the other end of the field, the piece of fence was gone.. and so was one of the shoes from his front feet (he other was hanging on by a nail.) Unbelievably he was still sound, so we pulled off the remaining shoe and I led him back to the trailer. Next day he was so stiff he couldn’t even come to the stable door to search my pockets for mints. I had him checked over and after a week he was fine. I look back with shame at my stupidity, and learned my lesson; I was incredibly lucky, and could so easily have lost my horse that day. As it was, he was with me for many happy years until the ripe old age of 27. I suppose the takeaway is.. when weighing up a large hedge, don’t just consider the hedge itself, but consider what might be lurking inside it.

What intrigues me about hunting is how diligent most of the riders are in caring for their animals, which are clearly maintained in top condition and ridden responsibly for most of the year., with care about how and where they are exercised… and then in the hunting field all of that is suddenly completely abandoned. Galloping on hard roads and in deep mud, jumping barbed wire trotting & cantering downhill, jumping solid unforgiving obstacles on tired horses, anything goes. I’m not necessarily being critical, it’s just a curious observation

They are hunting foxes, although they will claim they're only trail hunting. The Ledbury hunt especially is quite notorious for getting caught red handed killing foxes. There are plenty of clues that show what they're really up to (although they're not really trying very hard to hide it, they know they can get away with it). Tons of foot followers waiting to witness a kill, terrier men following, the field following a "trail" that was for some reason laid across busy roadways and railroad tracks (why?), using fox hounds (there's no reason to use fox hounds over blood hounds when trail hunting, blood hounds have the superior noses, the only thing they lack compared to fox hounds is speed and agility which is needed to catch a fox). Don't let the title of the video fool you, this is an illegal fox hunt, and these are a bunch of sick psychos out hoping to see a terrified animal chased to exhaustion and then ripped apart alive.

It was hounds tracking the scent left by man, who volunteers to do so. Hunting animals this way has been illegal for years. This was clearly stated in the first video, Brittany.

Oh please. This is an illegal fox hunt. We all know it. Stop with the trail hunt nonsense, you're just embarrassing yourselves.

Do u think horses in the wild when they fall down they stay there forever and not move? No they are gonna get up and try again until they complete it. And if ur playing football and u lose a game, are you going to not play again? No ur going to keep trying

@Macki-cg4pr what😂 srsly did u read my comment, its about a damn hedge which is terribly high which made horse fall and couldve caused broken bones or more, this rider decides to do it again and just doesn't give a fuck about his horses safety, this isn't about wild horses or football?? Like read little buddy

I get that the first horse was bait of a handful but when you fell off you swore at the horse like its all their fault and yes I'm not saying your horrible for being mean to it but the horse did its best it could and even when it went over it after probably knocking its confidence you didn't even say well done once to it throughout the whole trial, I'm not saying your a bad rider or you can't do it properly but when my horse refuses or does something wrong by accident I just think its never the horses fault . don't get me wrong your an amazing rider and I said it in the nicest way I could think.
