Do it in GPS mode but disable the sensors, that way the controls are less sensitive, but you can still go past the bushes

I was wondering the same: what about the narrow sensing?? You can associate this mode in C1 or C2 keys of the controller, and push it when you need it.

Emilliano Zapatta I was thinking it could maybe work better with terrain follow or if he could turn off the obstacle avoidance

Yes the Narrow sensing works great. Or turn off the front sensors. But never fly in Atti mode if you can avoid it in cramped spaces.

I had two (2) mini-crashes on the same day trying to land on a windy day in my backyard. The battery fell out and there are two little cracks above the upper left and right corners where the battery goes. The cracks are common in those areas on the Phantom 3 and 4 series. The good news, is that it is repairable with super adhesive glues like Super Glue or Gorilla Glue. The Phantom is a tough Bird and can survive some crashes. Thank you, Pieter.

Addendum: After updating the latest firmware there were some improvements like linking my LG (Android) smartphone for the first time. But during midflight it shut down several times. There needs to be more improvements on the Go App.
@andrewap777 жыл бұрын
It looks like you had your crashes just I have had mine, on something sticking out (your eyes cannot determined depth) and that is the problem you have pan left and right to if you are passed an object. So what I do either I fly over or under it.

Not sure if its possible with your DJI transmitter but most other transmitters you can add expo to different flight modes which would take the sensitivity away from the sticks, so when your in Sport Mode the sticks would not respond as fast and be more forgiving to sudden movements until you get further away from center stick. It adds a buffer area and would give you more smoother changes in Yaw and Roll.
@mobilcams7 жыл бұрын
It is possible, I did this to both my P4 and P4P so that when I am in sports mode it doesn't yaw so fast.
@LoveEatDesire7 жыл бұрын
Why not try the narrow sensing mode?
@craighermle77277 жыл бұрын
I do a lot of architectural videos, and I've found the tripod mode makes, for example, "reveal" shots easier as it flys more smoothly without having to think about it too much. Granted, you can do the same by playing with stick sensitivity, As someone else mentioned, the "narrow sensitivity" option, available on the c1 or c2 buttons, does seem to make navigating in tighter areas somewhat manageable while still offering 360 degrees of obstacle avoidance. Programming the sensitivity to the c1 or c2 buttons also allows increasing or decreasing sensitivity a lot easier/faster in my opinion.

Thats it! Tripod mode but with obstacle avoidance turned off and you won't be pruning the bushes no more. Because of the signal latency it is better to watch the P4P with your eyes I find when trying to fly close to nearby things.

This is one of about 30 reasons I decided to start my hobby with the Phantom 3 Standard. I could have gone to something more advanced but the Standard forces me to "fly" the drone. I think after a year of flying this model, when I swap to something else I will be better prepared.

The Dutch will be key players in solving rising sea waters due to global warming. Already islanders, countries, many USA cities and ocean front states are consulting the Dutch on building sea walls for the near future because sea level will rise as the glaciers and ice masses continue to melt. Soon (relatively speaking) much-developed property will be below sea levels as the Dutch have. Netherlands itself will have to extend the heights of their walls so it a challenge all around. I really liked this video Peter, it was well edited. I just got back from working in Dubai so hope to be flying again especially because the weather has improved (winter is behind us now). Keep making those interesting videos. Thanks for sharing.
@leegenix7 жыл бұрын
Global Warming is a hoax. For one thing, water and ice have the same displacement and density. If ice melts, water levels are still the same. Another thing is, a spinning sphere is a hoax, a scientific impossibility, and mathematical oddity.

Peter what is your view of propeller guards. ..are they worth getting? i live in a flat area of east england called the fens that was drained by a dutch engineer Cornelius Vermuyden in the 18th century there are many windmills still here.
@NeverMindYourOwn7 жыл бұрын
After I did the romantic shoot, I decided that it is best to have prop guards when flying close to people and I bought some for the P4. But they do add some extra weight. In general and most flights it is not necessary. But there is no easy way to snap them on and off.

Hello Peter Nyag, I wouldn't attempt to tell you how to fly ✈️. I've noticed on a few occasions batteries falling out of p4 bodies in a tumble, I have 3 batteries for my 4 and one in particular bothers me, I can wobble it up and down and it will easily come out, I put a little white electrical tape on it to ensure it remains put. There's no such problem on my p3, it's far more secure, that bad fitting of the battery on the p4 is the only bad thing about the aircraft. I have 3, a 4 pro 3 and a Mavic, they're all wonderful. Your videos are all good and inspirational, many thanks for the entertainment and knowledge. Robert.

@NeverMindYourOwn7 жыл бұрын

@capohd287 жыл бұрын
Yes, narrow sensing is the answer here. It is made for just this type of situation. Also, I made the same mistake flying with tablet in close quarters and shaved some thin branches that weren't visible to my screen or the sensors. Luckily, mine just pushed away and hovered at the time. Best to fly by eye close in and just use the tablet for the camera adjustments.

we get caught in a bad spot …things get too tight we want the protection but not the restrictions. As much as I think they are a pain, having prop guards available to quickly snap on solves the problem. I have been waiting two months for the Mavic "cages" prop guards, even though so many people are totally against them. Knowing I can literally fly up against a wall or objects with NO issues will allow me to get some interesting pictures. when the Phantom 20 comes out with anti-gravity we won't need to worry about props !

Good job,.. but I was thinking, couldn't you just start from the inside but with holding the drone, very sturdy, and just walk with the drone using the drone camera, up to the point that you want it to fly away, and then just edit the video where needed to bring it together to make it look like it's all in one take ? I would try that if I were you. And I wanted to say that with your brother looking and taking it all in, on a lot of your videos, he might want to get his own drone and have his own channel. :-)..but I bet that you guys would become very competitive.. lol.
