Wow bunch of haters on here.I'm a commercial plumber and I have been using Ridgid tools for the last 15 years and they have never let me down one. I'll put my rigid impact gun hammer drill and bandsaw and sawzall up against anything Milwaukee or DeWalt makes I don't care what anybody says I've been using this stuff for years now and they've never failed me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The maintenance department at work uses Ridgid tools. That's what got me to try them for home use. I have not been disappointed! I do look forward to the high torque 1/2" impact wrench. They had one in the Octane line, but it's pretty much unobtainium right now.

Well I believe they honestly don't realize there is a rigid plumbing set of tools and quality then there's the power tools from Ridgid are still a decent quality tool that seem to be able to get the job done no problem. I personally am a huge Milwaukee fanboy but I'll use whatever works so I've never really understood the whole modules are better than your tools thing that a lot of guys do

The new Ridgid stuff looks great but I'm hoping they can come down a bit on the price. They almost always have offered a really durable option for contractors at a cheaper price than the current King of durability which imo is the Milwaukee M18 Fuel Line of tools. I don't currently own any Milwaukee tools but have used them quite a bit on the job and always liked the feel and power they offer.

Love my Ridgids! But my subcompact 3/8" impact has this funny little quirk: about once a week, when tightening a fastener (always when I'm trying to tighten), it'll go the wrong way! It'll back it off! Hilarious! It always gives me a good chuckle!

Sir, can you please tell me if these rigid tools(drill and impact) can be used in Asia? Like...the difference in voltage and electric frequency. In USA, the power is 100volts and 60hertz..... But in Asia, its 220 volts and 50hertz..... So can this tool be used in Asia?

See if you can get AEG tools in your area, same products basically. I've an Octane (US market) battery that works with all my AEG tools and a Ridgid orbital sander that works with my AEG batteries (same parent company TTL I think) Anyway, AEG chargers are 220v, 50hz.

I have the sub-compact set and the impact is handy but this is the most disappointing lineup I've ever seen. The Octane was the perfect set of power tools(if you don't have little lady hands.) TTI is clearly not satisfied with their relationship. It's unfortunate. I've slowly been converting to Milwaukee since I seen the 3ah Octane batteries, that greatly outperforms the new 'Max Output', and are designed to keep the drill from plopping over, are no longer being released.

@PaulRudd19413 жыл бұрын
I am for one, very disappointed in the decision Ridgid took to discontinue their Octane brand and back peddle on all the things that made them worth it for me. When I first started doing trades I was torn between Milwaukee and Ridgid. I sided with ridgid because of their warranty but that was well and truly a mistake that has now been realized. These new products are less powerful, I can't buy a new 9 AH battery anymore, and the tools selection is downsizing. Very dissapointed. I'm certain that I will be switching over to a Milwaukee ASAP.
@juanc51493 жыл бұрын
Lol, when Emerson sues you, but you’re contractually required to still keep making them tools. You downgrade them to Ryobi, and you upgrade the ryobi line. This has got to be the biggest middle finger from TTI to Emerson I’ve seen yet.

@@peterdarlington4117 I have a friend who swears by his ridgid power tools but he's more of a DYIer. The Ryobi HP Brushless line looks pretty decent in reviews but I still went with Kobalt for the price and amount of tool they offer. They have affordable batteries, decent sales and almost all the tools that matter are Brushless with a couple exceptions (shopvac, inflator) I even picked up an XTR set and I'm pretty satisfied so far but to be honest, I am covered in blue right now like some kind of Kobalt fanboy so I'm looking around in some other tool lines to try to mix it up a bit.
