Ridgid brushless four tool combo kit unboxing

The first day this was available in my area and I had to get it. I can say they all feel great and honestly seem to be very high quality. This is my unboxing video and will be testing each tool against their Ridgid Octane equivalent, in the near future.

I literally just bought this kit today at Home Depot I was gonna order the multi tool and recep saw online today but I happened to find this kit for $215 with an additional 10%.

Would this be worth buying I already got the new model ridgid brad nailer and I love it I would like to purchase this for everyday use I work on subfloor stairs; moulding, skirts, dowels, rails and post etc.

Just ordered it for $229 at direct tools looking at videos to see what’s changed from the octane line

Overall, they outperform the Octane line but the hammer drill just isn't nearly as strong. The impact will impress for sure.

@@DanielGomez-cf6vk I was so excited to see it at that price. I had to share and I found it by accident. Glad I did though. I want to think I've been pretty fair to Ridgid and I always call them the best value in power tools. I have to figure out how to get the Ridgid group to subscribe. Lol!

Nice looking kit. I like the variable speed dial on the multi-tool. Kobalts is integrated into the grip. I dont like that they got rid of the tri-light on the drill. Should have kept that in my opinion.

I agree with you about the tri-beam lights. These all have the feel of a Gen 2 Milwaukee but with a slightly better grip on the overmold. I like the kit and look forward to using them.

Hey, thanks for the video. Question for you, I purchased the same kit. I’m wondering if you place the 4AH battery on the Hammer Drill if yours has play on it when moving it around like shaking where it doesn’t feel very secure? Thanks mine does I’ve found it’s mainly on the tool the connector piece on bottom has some play

It does have some play to it but nothing out of the ordinary.

I honestly love them all. Even the hammer drill is pretty awesome. I have tested them all so check those out before you buy. I would start with the impact driver against the Octane version.

What's your thoughts on look I like the look wish they left the tri light on the impact driver but it is what it is the hammer drill looks nice still happy with my gen 5 x brushless hammer drill if it's not broke don't try to fix it gets the job done for me it's only 50 inch pounds more torque then mine I have that chirstmas deal in 2018 so I guess mine is version 2 of the gen 5 x brushless compact only the BPM is more and l like the new chuck want to change mine not sure I should now the multi-tool looks sweet I have owned the Gen 4 x jobmax it grew feet never brought a new one good video

They all look and feel great. I think a lot of people rushed to judgment without having held them in their hands. So far I am most impressed by the impact driver and hammer drill.

TTI cheaped out the new Ridgid tools because they were cannibalizing Milwaukee sales. Weak drill, flimsy charger, cheaper housing. too bad

In some ways it looks that way but the drill performs well and the rest of the tools are better than their Octane counterparts. I've tested all of the tools and I think people would be surprised at just how good they are.
