It's a step in the right direction in my Opinion. No oil pump to worry about as in failing and burning up the engine. No need for an oil tank, less weight.. A more simple machine is a good thing, less stuff to go wrong!

couldn't disagree more. oil pump failures were almost non existent, social media rumor mill blew it up. Top ends were going longer and looking better than ever before. Now top end life will go back in the shitter.

TPI is the best thing to ever happen to 2 strokes. The amount on TPIs that burnt up were dwarfed by the about of 2 strokes that blow up every year from bad jetting. So 1-10,000 TPIs have a pump fail. and 95% of those from clogged filters and other factors other than the "oil pump going bad". Which was the least common of all failures. It's no secret that few people actually take care of there bike like they should. Since TPI was new, when something happened that had to be the issue. SMH.

Thanks for the video! Going to buy one today and was curious of how the low end is on these because I ride mostly single track and it looks like your in the same area as me! That things a tractor!

You shouldn’t have any complaints about the low end. It is better than my 20 TE300 low end was. If you want more low end add an RK Tek head but you won’t need that for the first 40hrs. Enjoy!

How do you like the transmission ratio on that new Tx? And how does the suspension feel on enduro stuff? I am an enduro rider, i ride slow, technical and hard stuff. I’ve never ridden a XC bike yet. I am thinking about should i go for a 2023 TX300 or wait for the 2024 enduro range to buy the Te300..?

Pretty hard to beat the XC-W/TE300 for enduro riding. Loved my 2020 TE 300 for Enduro, not so much in the dunes or any high speed terrain. Front springs versus air I think is better than an air fork but these are an improvement from the 21’ TX300. However, the new TX -TBI lugs beyond belief. I have ridden some enduro spots and I was really happy with it. The mapping is much better but I do 97% of my riding in Advanced setting 2. The standard setting crawls up hills, boulders etc. Transmission feels great and you could ride in 3rd gear all over single track if you wanted to. I prefer to be in the correct gear and it shifts easy.

I have the same bike. How many hours before changing top end? Go with a stock piston or is there a better one?

I have 145hrs on mine. Put an RK Tek head at 65hrs and really liked it. I will do a top end before it gets to 160hrs.

@@jeffb6350 lol, not everyone wants to mix gas, we have the tech for smokers to be injected and that’s what a lot of us prefer. That’s great that you are fine with going back to mixing, good for you, maybe you should go back to driving a vehicle without power brakes or power steering while you’re at it. And yes, I own power equipment that requires mixing, but I don’t have an alternative to better tech for those items that are equally as good.
