As an Atto 3 . 2023 owner , all I wanted was an 80KW battery , that a real range of 430 KW , given the scarcity of chargers in Australia and oz being a big country that would be a big plus. I belive that MG EV has 77KW pack. If BYD ever offer a battery upgrade to existing owners I will be first in line. My two cents to anyone considering an EV , do not buy anything less than 80KW.

Only really a problem if you are doing touring in remote areas. Most don't. But if you do, then yes it's a big problem as towns often have just one charger, and if that's out you might be screwed. I did a 3000km round trip Sydney to Adelaide without too many problems, though couldn't go the most direct outback route. The bigger the roads, the less problems you have. Actually returned via Melbourne because of the better charging infrastructure along the route - faster and more charges. Time was the same due to saving time charging.

I have an Atto 3 extended range purchased in 2022. Great car. Very happy with it. However, i don't care for the contentious interior design. Not a fan at all. Whilst removing the stupid BUILD YOUR DREAMS from the rear tailgate is a major improvement, along with the better quality Continental tyres - I have these tyres on mine fitted within the first week as the originals are not that great - the one thing I would have really liked to see is an upgrade to the interior. The choice of colours now is a step in the right direction but come on BYD, the guitar theme really has to go. Deeper pockets in the door would be great too. Maybe the next update will incorporate more interior changes. Meanwhile, we still enjoy our 2022 Atto 3 and are amazed every time we drive it.

Berliner Zeitung reports that Germany and Chile are strengthening their cooperation in energy and resource policies, with Germany counting on lithium and copper from Chile for electromobility and electrification. The outlet notes that Chile is a part of the “lithium triangle” with Argentina and Bolivia, a region which holds 57% of global reserves crucial for energy transition. Bloomberg reports that German energy conglomerate Siemens Energy plans to produce a wind turbine with a capacity of around 21 megawatts (MW) by the end of the decade, “overpowering the biggest machines offered by Chinese competitors”. This would make it about 40% more powerful than the company’s current largest turbine, which has rotor blades 115 metres long, the outlet notes.
@mcsoo52917 ай бұрын
when Germany is progressing with 21MW wind turbine, China is producing 22MW wind turbine to be installed offshore right now. The competition is good, good for you and me and for the mankind. It is not Chinese or German are superior or smart, it is the focus they are in. China has been accused and mocked by the world for polluting the atmosphere because of their industry. Because the west are moving those dirty jobs to Asia. However, when China confronts this issue, they do it by further innovation and make it cleaner. What did the west do? oh, now we dont need to be clean, and we pull ourselves out of Paris accord..... German, in my opinion, are also practical, they have their engineering in mind. They want to beat the Japanese and Chinese in terms of their engineering skills. This is great. Competition brings innovations.

The more they mature the better they get. They used to make crappy ice cars back in the nineties. How far they have come within 2 decades.

I still love my 2022 Tesla M3 RWD. I don't like the interior design BYD Auto 3. :-)
@greghudson97177 ай бұрын
True, the Atto 3 interior SUCKS, but at least it has 'some' design, unlike my Tesla Model Y which looks like it was thought up by the children of IKEA employees. And that's NOT a good look IMO

This is the result of Tesla disrupting the electric vehicle market.

@@kallekas8551 It is Tesla's fault that the Chinese market has become so large. The fact that China started making electric cars is because Tesla laid down the infrastructure. Although there are Chinese companies, it is not the companies, but the whole of China. The 70 companies producing electric cars can be seen as the whole of China.

@@eden5260 Not sure the point you are making. Its value or not is based on how it is priced and the features and quality it offers next to its competitors. The Chinese market is clearly the most competitive in the world, the speed of innovation and advancements they are making should be frightening for other manufacturers.

Great value until is breaks down and you can't get parts. Then a complete waste of hard earned money. Utter rubbish.
@kamsunleong66487 ай бұрын
Evs have less parts to break down. Unlike my gasoline car. After just a couple of months of repair, my aircon unit has again stopped working. Another big repair bill. Utter rubbish. Should have dumped it and switched to an ev.

That's with any car, machine, device, tool, etc... since they sell millions each year and Chinese consumers are notoriously selective, I reckon these will outlast your Ford, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Nissan, etc...
