Great comparison video!I have a 2005. It has been a good truck since I got it in 2017. Based on the cost of new trucks, I have been looking for a rust “free” bed and pricing engines to have an idea for when the Triton gives up the ghost. Not nearly as fancy as the new ones but a great truck no less 👍

I used to have a 2004 F-150 that needed a new timing chain and cams and drove great for the year I had it. Only downside is being from Minnesota and the boxed frame was getting very rusty. Unfortunately in February 2023 after almost having for a year and at 203k miles I slid on ice and rolled it over before hitting a tree. It was totaled and frame completely twisted but I walked away with no injuries. I now have a 2001 F-150 since March 2023 originally had 222k miles

@@JamesK7911 I really loved owning the 2004. Glad you were able to walk away from that crash!

@@ShawnFerret Yah same! I was obviously sore for the rest of the month but for being 20 years old it still did its job to protect me. It didn’t have side airbags yet, not until the 2009 generation… and none of my front ones deployed. Just had the collapsible steering column, A & B pillars, and seatbelt to protect me. To see how safer it became I’d look up the IIHS F-150 crash test from 2001 and then 2004
