It's great to see that you have finally got your hands on the WS400 Series 2 Mario and WOW!! you did a fabulous job on the clearcoat as the gun laid it down nice and flat👌 When the digital versions were first released here a lot of them had an issue with the black chrome finish as it kept peeling off on some guns from what I've heard that was the reason they were held back for you good folks so they could fix the problem, I bought my WS400 clearcoat digital version when they first came out and it's been fine it still looks like new👏🙏👍John UK

Thanks John. I like the gun. It seems a lot of people believe there’s no difference between the old and new. What are your thoughts on it? I’ll make a comparison videos soon as I get a packing nut for the old one.

I really can't compare the 2 guns Mario as I've never owned the series 1 but the new series 2 is just an amazing gun which along with my X5500 RP 1.3CC are the 2 guns I use the most👍

That's a difficult question as they are both good guns but if I had to choose I would say the WS400 Series 2 digital is my favourite as it just feels better in the hand and IMO is better made but they both pretty much spray the same, I just like spray guns and have a few of the top makes on the market, more money then sense🤦‍♂😁😂

I use my sr2 to 33-35 psi Hs clear coat and is the best result that I can get, mirror effect 😁 If I use less than 30 psi, I am left with orange peel skin

Have never thought much of iwata guns i do have a ws300 its a great gun for spot and panel repair sata is the pros choice

Depends on what part of the country you're in. Iwata rules out here in the West.

I’ve tried it. Wasn’t bad but definitely not ws400 or sagola or sata level for a few more dollars. I think it’s a tad expensive given a lot of options out there.

It all depends on your budget. I recommend a 60 gallon compressor. Doesn’t mean you can’t use one between 30 to 60. I can send you a link to some .

I find no difference between the series 1 and the series 2 other than the fact that on the series one you can only open the fan 2 1/2 turns before it splits the pattern. Other than that I find them identical.

That is a big change, i hated the series 1 for clear I tried it over and over with all types of recommendations from Iwata reps on where to set psi fluid fan pattern. I found I had to spray so slow to get it to lay out like I wanted. I bought the series two 1.3hd and it’s badass I can leave the fan all the way open with no issues

If you take a look at Pete's Hobbies on here he shows the gen 1 and the gen 2 there's zero differance between the guns other than a Marketing stunt i hope this helps with knowing this i was about to buy a clear gen 2 until i seen this on his channel.

I’ve been saying that about the DV1 guns it’s all marketing. It’s just that people always like the term new. Just like you go buy a 2024 model car to get rid of your 2023 even tho it’s the same model, same body style, same power. Just a tech upgrade 🙄. And I just want to put this out there. You guys don’t have to buy every gun I review I’m just giving options and my thoughts on them.
