That purple is just too nice to pass up. Other choice would be the green floor jack. Third would be yellow.

The quality difference is minor The price difference is major. I like name brand stuff, but I cant justify the price for the Snap On. Ive got the Daytona Harbor Freight jack and really enjoy using it.

My previous Harbor Frieght superduty cost me over $300 for one year of use and failed. Add fuel and time lost to replace it and the cost is higher. My two ton Snap On Jack has cost me $75/ year so far and the cost will be lower next year. It has yet to fail. It and the new 3ton Snap On use the same type of seals that Caterpillar uses in its hydraulic cylinders. If the two ton starts leaking I can rebuild it with high quality USA made seals. The Harbor Freight uses o rings. They failed on my previous Harbor freight jack. A leaking jack can cause damage and can fail when you need to remove jackstands from under your ride. Been there before. Anyways I will post a video when I have issues with these jacks. Hopefully the HF can hold up longer than the previous one.

@@bigboreracing356 yea that sounds annoying. I probably dont use my jack as much as you do. If I did then Id lean towards the Snap On. Did you have to order that from a Snap On truck?

@@logicgates7732 I got it from a truck dealer. He had it drop shipped from the assembly plant. Someone told me to put synthetic hyd oil in the hf jack. They claimed the o rings would last longer

@@logicgates7732 I have a 3/4 ton diesel and a Full size Chevy that I do regular maintenace on and drag the jacks through gravel and dirt alot. If you use the HF on cars in a garage or shop it should do okay. Going to buy a vintage Atlas/ Milwaukee Model 20 jack that has a hard chromed cylinder. This jack has the correct way to mount the cylinder but is not stabil on soft ground. Made in USA but was put out of business by HF. Seal kit is o rings like the HF but bigger. It i

Maybe you should think about using the green nitrile o rings. Think about it those are used in AC systems so they can withstand hot and cold. @@bigboreracing356

CEO is full of 💩 I have a 8 year old two ton jack machined and assembled in America with USA parts. The factory cast and stamped the major parts. The quality control was done in the USA.

Do some more research because there was a lawsuit file by snappy against HBF regarding a floor jack. They proved it was made in the same facility in Asia. HBF obviously got access to the direct snappy manufacturer. Look up some snappy jacks that have folded under weight. I'm sure you'll find the made in China stamp or sticker on them.

Was also a lawsuit that Snap on lost claiming HF copied their Jack and was dismissed because they are both made from the same manufacturer in China
@bigboreracing3566 ай бұрын
@@JohnSmith-fy1nh Harbor Freight won because it proved that it did not copy the Snap On jack. HF proved that its jacks were produced at a factory that used low quality chinese made internal parts and less precise machining procedures. A different factory stamped and cast the hard parts for Snap On then sent to the Snap On factory where the Jacks were welded machined and assembled with USA made internal parts .

@bigboreracing356 FJ400-5 power unit assembly "made in China". That's the pump for the 4 ton snap on jack I have a photo if you want to see it. Pumps are Chinese. Snap on likes to use word pkay like made from global parts or assembled in the USA

Cool video but do more research dude. It could save you money. I have a tire repair shop near me with a bunch of the heavy ass yellow HBF shop jacks. They repair flat tires all day. Located on a busy street. Lots of repairs. No Snappy Jacks for them. Keep in mind these guys don't have a lift. It's just straight up pulling in with a flat tire jack it up and change the tire or repair. I swear they had 10 of those yellow Jack's outside. No inside bays just pull up service. I would love to prove a point if KZbin would let us post pictures in the comments.
