The doctors have already done their jobs. It's the CEO's of companies that stand to make money off FDA approval. It WILL keep laboratories open, as grants and projects are approved, but the doctor's work is to make sure they do their jobs honestly, and provide accurate information on a drug's effectiveness. They don't initiate the trials themselves, just work as hard as they can to make sure the tests are rigorous and backed by good evidence.
