Tim, if I was in your shoes I would keep that GT Black Series. You seem to really enjoy it and have done thousands and thousands of kilometres and most likely many more. It’s a great car! With loads of memories and many adventures!

I think it’s lost it’s soul with this one, doesn’t sound as mean and ferocious as the previous gen. it weighs 800pounds heavier than the previous gen.

Tbf the Black Series doesn't sound fantastic stock either. At least with all the regulation filters. Personally this new AMG GT era is not worth it unless you have a family and need the extra practicality for that, I would rather have a 911 GTS or a Vantage than any new gen AMG GT.

Your Black Series is a gem. Irreplaceable imo. Especially the story and adventures it’s been on. More well travelled than most in their entire lifetime as well 😂😅

AMG lost its charm when they made the AMG GT into a 911 proportioned AWD 2+2 instead of keeping the long nosed viper esk proportions of the previous gen. If you ask me the older one looks newer & will historically be the more favorable model, especially when it has less screens

@@gazzarafalemozzy4766 Well the problem now is regulation and also customer demand, regulations hurt noise and customer demand for comfort also hurts sound. This is the alternative or you just have a quieter car, unless you mod it.

I’ve seen the gtr roadster in Sri Lanka and it’s so stunning love the spec and in garage with a 488 spider and a Svj roadster and a rolls Royce and a brabus g wagon 4x4 and a Camaro such honour to see your car in a country I live in

From what I’ve heard, the new AMG GT coupe is more grand tourer and didn’t design the chassis as much for the track as the previous model and that’s a reason enough for me to keep the old one as it’s going to be unique and go up in price for sure as well.

I’ve had a couple of AMG models which all put a smile on my face. Not sure what it is with these new ones but I’m really struggling to get excited. The spark seems to have gone from AMG! Great review though Tim.

We understand that you can't bash it, but that Title has to be a joke. Living in Stuttgart and never saw a new GT with private plates....wonder why they release the pro so soon. The new SL I see multiple times a week and even that is a questionable car.

Ascari is such a cool track; I'm enjoying you lapping it more than the car, honestly. That being said, the new GT Pro is really complemented by an undulating, twisty track like this since it doesn't demand your constant attention while still doing everything you ask it to do.

Whats funny is my favorite of the limited editions of the previous generation was the Pro. No idea why but of the GTR Roadster, Pro and Black Series id pick the Pro every time! Maybe i need to drive them but i just love the subtle aero upgrade of the regulat GTR

My first car may be a modern day VW crossover however I don’t want to ever give it up. I’ve driven it all around Western Europe and as of writing this comment it’s on its second trip to Germany. Shmee that AMG Black Series is loved by us and you and I personally think it should stay.

I love Mercedes as a brand and the heritage it has but I sadly agree with a lot of the other comments this just seems a gimmicky and fussy. I do think though that them rims (in black) on your black series would look amazing and freshen up your current motor. 👍. Great video and content though as always Shmee. All the best.

Tim…keep your Black Series because that will always be very special…but I would take the new version in a second..A very impressive car…and that special version would be good on your collection although I don’t expect to see one there. All versions are wonderful….and there is a chance I just might afford one when depreciation hits….that makes quite a difference! 🤔😃😃😃😃

Sorry, but that is honestly a downgrade from the black series. You know it well. 99% of AMG GT owners do NOT want rear seats and a much heavier car. No. Car was very usable as it was before this generation. Wlile we are at it, less electronics would be great.

Some clearly did want back seats, if they didn't, they wouldn't be there. Also, you can delete the rear seats for this model. In fact, as standard they come without rear seats apparently.
