i find in interesting that it feels they legally have to word it "the successor to the Nintendo Switch" everyone else keeps saying switch 2, but this feels like theyre trying to nudge hey it's not a switch 2 its more than that. nervous and excited. if the new console is bot mobile, which i hope so the power is better, i do hope they do come out with an actual switch 2 after cuz ill miss having a good handheld console. some games are just better handheld, like in a cozy bed or on a commute or long trip

if it is fully playable on the next console I think I'll end up making a new island, keep my old one on my other switch so that way I can have a "new" game/experience, as it stands I've stuck with my day one 2020 launch island so it would be nice to have another island to decorate/design differently than have to completely revamp my current one over and over.

I hope we get a new game by 2026 so we don't have to keep playing New horizons forever. The worst part is that we haven't gotten any new stuff in a while, I really want new items and activities to do. I think I own just about every item in the game and DIY. Have 5 fully upgraded houses. Completed museum and on my way to get every Nook achievement. After some grinding. Not sure how much better the same game would even be without updates. Although backwards comparability is always good. Can we have Game Cube and Wii games too tho. lol

I hope they make everything interactive I love this game but it gets stale after awhile as it seems the only thing your doing is decorating lol, it’s fun but I wished more items were usable. Like actually being able to use the cars and not just look and tap them for a head light lol. Give us bars like for hunger, bladder, enjoyment. Like make everything playable if I buy a switch I should be able to play on it like they did nest on the gamecub version a lot of cool items but really no use but to show off. I think this game for me would need morecinteractivness and the villagers having a three story house should be a thing too. I mean it may sound like a sims game now that I put it but literally think it’ll make the game very interesting and more fun to play. More dialog from villagers instead of them repeating the same stuff other than that it just need more interactive for me

I am going to take advantage of the backwards compatibility by creating a new island on the new system. I'm probably going to keep my original island on my old Switch. I haven't restarted my island or have an additional version of the original Switch, so the Switch 2 having backward compatibility is great for me.

I really hope they just make more or most items interactive m. I love AC but after decorating and helping villagers do the same thing over and over it’s gets dry. Or not being able to fully use items makes the game feel unalive. Lie if I used the toilet I should maybe have a bar that tells me when I have to go or washing up in the tub I feel animal crossing can bring the game up more if they allow more interactiveness! Also the villagers should have an upstairs and downstairs home too. They can invite me to stay at theirs and I can do the same, I just feel AC has more mechanics that can bring the game alive. Because it’s fun and games when starting but after awhile it feels stale and the only major feature is decorating they need to elevate this game stronger for me

I also felt like they could’ve kept dlc going for this game. I feel like they dropped the ball on this game way too soon. But than again Nintendo for me has the worst dlc and when they do have them for games which to me is very few, they don’t last long. I feel like switch also makes very simple and relatively super easy games and charge people 60 for it like peaches game. They need stronger titles to me too because sometimes the only best titles to get from them are majority Mario and I still after this many years don’t know how Nintendo hasn’t really elevate from him. They try to get other games like cod, moto kombat but they are so bad. And as much as I would love ac to be on the new switch I really don’t care for that unless they are going to like update the game but if not than I’ll wait until a new version comes out in hopes it’s more interactive.

Basically impossible sadly as the new games will not be compatible. They’ll be a lot more advanced and just not coded to work with the original Switch. It’s a lot easier to add backwards compatibility than the other way around.
