Congratulations guys, I'm glad you moved. You still have your white kitchen that I suggest it! Listen I know you guys are on a budget, there are amazing things that you can do on a budget. Firstly go to some of the Goodwill or consignment stores in some of the more fancier neighborhoods you're going to get some amazing things at amazing prices. Invest in a steam cleaner - I got mine from Walmart fart less than a hundred bucks and it has more than paid for itself. You can steam clean any kind of carpet or fabric item that you get from the second hand stores and it will be perfect. Secondly TJ Maxx and HomeGoods - these places are amazing. In general any store that I go into I always go to the clearance area first as a matter of fact I try checking out these type of stores particularly if I happen to be in new neighborhoods either for work or to meet a friend. I have stumbled upon some amazing jams. I found an incredible Queen Anne type sitting chair with a more modern Flair in a beautiful soft raspberry that fit the color scheme for my living room for 80 bucks on clearance! A brand new chair! Now that you're in a place that feels like home have fun taking your time, decorating, finding just the right pieces. Check out my Pinterest board called Home Sweet Home. PS - from Mitch's area, if you move the sofa up just a tad you could get a sofa table to go on the back of the sofa that also has open areas and he could use as a bookshelf that would be a good way to delineate his office from the living room in a very classy way using furniture that is also functional so he'd have technically a bookshelf and a desk area.

I'm so glad I found this video. I am moving to the DFW in 3 months, and I was considering Frisco. I am older than you guys and a single parent to a 14 year old son. I want to live somewhere that has a sense of community. I want to be able to mix with others, take walks, and enjoy some night life or dining close by.

Low bookcase behind the couch for Mitch's books..also can act as a sofa table. Mount the tv to the wall and take away that book case/tv stand and it will make the room bigger and a coffee table will work great then. Just my two cents lol.. Nice place, congrats on the new move. If you guys are still interested in a living room table, I suggest one that’s oval or round to minimize space. The floor mirror and rug options can be purchased at IKEA for an inexpensive price. Along with the plants! All the best in 2020 and beyond...

so good that you found a better place and you both seem much happier. I’ve seen nice mirrors at Home Goods at reasonable prices (IKEA as well). For the coffee table, maybe an ottoman/pouf? You could get a tray and place it on top with a decorative candle, small plant, or a book. Is it possible to maybe get the bathroom door hinges changed to where it will open the opposite way into the bathroom?

SUPER cute apartment - love the high ceilings and the layout - best of all, you're the FIRST TENANTS! How exciting!!!!! Apartments have come a long way since we lived in one before our kids were born!! I told my husband I'd consider apartment living if our 2 pomeranians weren't so barky or needed a yard. We got married in Frisco in 2000 when it was a little nothing town :D so when you said Frisco I was giddy :) HOPEFULLY we'll be moving soon for good - the house is up for sell here in Austin and I've had a few bites but people are so flaky and inconsiderate sometimes (we're doing FSBO at the moment). Hubby is living in Carrollton in an apartment at his sister's house (it was my MIL's before she passed) but him coming home to see us every other weekend is getting old - I'm ready for us to be under the same roof again asap! Can't wait to see how you decorate and congrats again on your move!

Hi! I don’t know if you got your area rug for the living room yet, I know Mitch really wants a white one and you can have it just buy the scotch guard for carpets and spray it really good before using it, don’t get no shaggy rug though because it may get stiff after you scotch guarded it

I been watching your videos for about a month now. I usually don't comment on videos but I love your channel. I can totally relate to you guys. My husband and I moved to TX a year ago. We lived in Garland, and we hated it. Never really unpacked and never felt like home. We bought a beautiful home in Heath and we are much happier! Hey guys congrats on the new place! It’s so funny how you guys don’t/didn’t like Frisco. Curious to know what town you moved to. I live in Frisco and absolutely LOVE it! I live closer to Prosper not near the 121 end. As far as the busyness, I’m coming from NJ and I always felt it’s really not that busy here. My rule of thumb is if you can find parking and not have to pay to park then it’s not busy. HAHA it’s amazing how it’s relative to what you are use too or where you are coming from! Good luck with the new place, your home should be your safe haven and it looks like you guys found a great one!🥰 I will say be careful with that open wall bedroom/living. Be sure to open the windows when you cook, the smell might transfer to your bedroom. 😳😬Hugs!🤗

Haha that's true about the parking, but we felt we couldn't go in a parking lot without someone almost hitting us. Sooo not used to people driving like that. Frisco has TONS of cool things to do but we're just from a much more low-key area haha :)

I was joking with my coworkers... “you guys are assholes on the road, but so sweet in person”... besides that this area really surprised me... coming from NYC/NJ I didn’t think I’d love living anywhere else but boy was I wrong I absolutely love this area!
