I love Elmer’s… never thought about asking them to feed the fish? Sorry for your loss 🙁

Yeah I don't blame Elmers. I blame myself. Elmers was good about the loss. Gave me credit, just mad that I lost them to begin with. I never asked them because to be honest this was a first. I have never had an issue with a fish purchase there.

I had trouble getting my clown tang to eat as well.. luckily he would pick at copepods on the glass and finally he stated eating nori. Now he’s the biggest eater in my tank. They are way more finicky than I thought when I picked him up. He gets along with my other tangs but is extremely territorial of the algae clip. Had to put two in the tank so the others could eat unharrasesd.

Yea Ian. It was impossible. I threw everything at him. Shall I say both of them. I think they were stressed to begin with and that did not help at all.

Sorry about your fish loss. That really stinks not even being able to get them to eat. I have to give it to you. You are a brave man to pick up a clown tang. I always thought of them as super aggressive fish. But I guess there are always exceptions. Do you plan to try again with the same tangs?

I have researched and found out that they were very aggressive. I figured there is plenty of space in the 180 to keep the aggression down, but I was more concerned about the size they get. Not sure I will try them again. Would have to see them eating at the store before I consider it again. They came into the store on a Thursday. We bought them two days later on Saturday. I think they were still stressed from shipping ect.

Thanks Larry. I don't like it either. Always makes me feel like it's my fault even when it's not.
