Looks like great options for RV's, and other aircraft. Beautifully made products. With tubeless tires aircraft technology, at last, comes into the 1950's! I have fond memories of discussions around 1970 with the editors of a motorcycle magazine about bikes' slow tech development. As a car guy, I wondered why motorcycles didn't have mag wheels instead of wire ones. Or, tubeless tires? Or, radial tires? Or, fuel injection? Or, disc brakes. They patiently explained to me that none of those things would ever work on a bike. I used to think of those talks often as I rode my Honda CBX (in the early '80's) with radial tires, disc brakes and alloy wheels. At least aircraft had disc brakes long ago and a sort of "dribble" fuel-injection. With Experimental aircraft we can have electronic ignition and electronic port fuel injection. And now, tubeless tires.

It’s funny, the Berlinger brakes have the floating disc just like the old Goodyear brakes that everyone swapped out for Cleveland’s years ago.

WhooHoo! I'll definitely be including this option with my kit order.

Nice! Options are good! And as usual, you answered my question before I could ask - “what about those of us with an order in that has yet to be filled?” Looking forward to April!

It's been 7 months since this was announced. It was supposed to be available in mid-April. Any updates on when we can actually order the Beringer option on an RV-14A?

Nice! I really hope Beringer machines an actual castle nut for the axle. Right now they use the cotter pin incorrectly to tension the nut from spinning off? I can see the issue that I tried to track down years ago still exists in the video.

Yes I see what you’re talking about, they don’t have tapered roller bearings as other manufacturers. I would like to see side loading specs for the sealed bearings versus tapered rollers. In either case castle nuts are a must, I wouldn’t mind provisions for safety wire also. Great looking products!

Which kit do the wheels and brakes come in? I'm ready to order the fuselage and finishing kits but I don't see this option for the Berringer wheels and brakes on the website for either kit.

I'll sort of answer my own question. I believe the wheels and brakes come in the Finishing kit and the Berringer option won't show up on the Vans website until later in April.

Hasn’t this been available for a long time already directly from aircraft specialties? What’s new here?
