I used to float the bags for temperature balance. Then introduce tank water slowly into the bag for a slower chemical balance. Never used my hand.

I use a small basket :) I drip acclimate into an old Red Sea reef pro bucket with the basket in already I add in the fish and their bag water the drip acclimate and just lift the basket out with the fish and quickly over to QT.

I added some sailfin, balloon sailfin mollies and some normal golden mollies to my lagoon system. The large sailfins are so beautiful but unfortunately the stores here only get the males in and no females are sold to the fish stores. Spoke to the owner of the store and was told the farm only sells the males. I guess its for my country mainly. Some monopoly thing. So i cant breed them. This way only the breeders can make money off the sailfins which cost 5x more than normal mollies here.

The mollies look weird to me in a reef tank. If you're worrierd about algae, why not add a kole tang? They're great algae and detritus cleaners. Your tangs would probably ignore it. They're constantly grazing at algae.
