A couple of questions for Blackmagic. Firstly, I have Blackmagic Broadcast G2. With the old shoulder/ handle kit, a studio viewfinder could be attached above the electronic viewfinder mount.The new ENG kit excludes the ability to attach to do this? The old handle was 1/4inch, the same as the viewfinder base. Now the new handle is 3/8inch. Can no longer use the camera with a studio viewfinder. The microphone holder attachment is also too small. Question was this not considered? Second question: Any chance of a Cintel for 8mm films? Rod, Lalor Australia

Please ask how I can see files in my shuttle hd I can figure out what I am doing wrong all my files are h264 codec and only shows one 😢😢 no matter what I do. Thank you for been there we learn a lot from your channel.

I like the fact that I can use the G2 remotely with the atem mini. I have a podcast studio and I think this camera would work perfect with my work flow so I can free up the OG and the 4k other work.

I am strangely most interested in working with the micro camera as a run-and-gun set up with one of the screens they also have and my MF lenses from my GH3 camera... anyone that tested this new generation 2 of the micro camera and can tell what the challenges will be? I know it does not have IBIS and continuous autofocus like the Panasonic G9 ll for example which takes my lenses as well.. maybe that is the best choice, but I do not like the little screens of the Lumix cameras and the ergonomics, I rather build a cage with my own buttons to start and stop and grips on a camera anyways ... but what do people say, Is anyone that got their hands on it now? what have you experienced with street photography, short movies, like 15-minute short films? thanks for sharing with us today!

Can you control the App settings from ATEM Mini? I see that there is an option for the Clean HDMI output. Wondering if you are using lighting to HDMI adapter, you might able to control app settings. Maybe they can add in future.

I plan to put a pre order in for the Blackmagic Micro Studio 4K G2 I am also looking at purchasing a Panasonic 12-35 f2.8 Lens. QUESTION How do they feel the Auto Focus will work with this lens? Or how will the Autofocus function be in general?

Autofocus will be triggered by software and won’t be continuous autofocus… will be the same as the current BM cams :) Hope this helps

Log is missing. It doesn’t need to be iPhone 15 for log. Filmic camera and Moment camera app in log mode works on old iPhones too. So this is something, they can add later.

SRT may turn out to be the bigest deal of all, but is it just the Streaming Bridge getting this firmware update or does it also go to ATEM Television Studios HD8 ISO which has 8 streaming bridges integrated or the Studio Cameras that can stream remotely, and what about other ATEMs? And which of these will be able to send SRT and which will be able to receive it? Plus will it just be BMD SRT that they can accept like with RTMP. Also iPhone App and cloud upgrades with proxies are great too, and that will be added as a firmware upgrade to the new Cinema 6K camera, but what about firware upgrades adding it to other cameras, or to ATEMs that sync with the cloud store like the ATEM Television Studios HD8 ISO - please ask when you go to BMD stand at IBC. thx

Some of us use both ATEMs and vMix - vMix already sends and receies SRT. If the ATEM line up starts doing so as well then this could be a game changer as both can then be used together leveraging the strengths of each

I was hoping ATEM mini G2 + ATEM Mini ISO G2. Still 4 Inputs but 2 HDMI Outputs with selectable options for each output and dual USB-C outputs which are also selectable. And of course headphones output. More like ATEM extreme but 4 inputs only.

I’m actually using the Holland LARK MAX kit for all my IBC 2023 videos along with a headset mic plugged into the Lark transmitter :) Hope this helps

BM tend to develop for Apple devices first, and then sometimes if the app is successful it’s been ported over to Android too… so there is hope 😂 But agree, it would be nice to see both platforms supported

4K60 from the SDI. The HDMI is not meant for clean output, only designed to be used as a way of seeing the settings / menus as the camera has no in build monitor

@@AlexPettitt This MIGHT be a problem for me. I was planning to use his camera on a gimbal and send the signal wireless to the ATEM Switcher. I want this to be my “Off Stage” Camera at concerts. I was going to use the SDI for a monitor and the HDMI out to the SPARK 4K. Guess Im going to attach the SPARK to the monitor and use the HDMI Out and hope it does not introduce additional latency.

Id either look at taking the 4K cameras into a very good spec PC running VMix, or my preferred route would the ATEM Television Studio 4K8 as that has 4K streaming built in.
