@@dave6467 Congrats on getting your dream bike! I actually have a "poser, dream bike". I have a 2016 Moto Guzzi Eldorado which i really love. My mechanic which is also an antique motorcycle restorer says he would not have my bike because of all the high tech garbage.LOL. But he will be the first to warn people who want to buy one of his restorations. He warns them they do come with their own headaches and not to be confused with a modern motorcycle. My engine is overbuilt and with proper maintenance and care will last a lifetime. I do agree with him that there is a lot more stuff to break, ie, on board computer, ride by wire, engine mapping, abs brakes, traction control etc. I do however find them at least for me a necessary evil if you will. Both traction control and ABS have saved my bacon before. I would prefer the bike break down rather than me if you get my jest:) Also, when i when i was researching the older classic MG, there was a lot of stuff i found to be deal breakers. Stuff like having to drop the bottom of the engine to change out the oil and get to the oil filter. Apart from my high tech accessories , my bike is pretty easy to do the maintenance. Changing all fluids / adjusting valves etc. I am truly enjoying my Moto Guzzi. I agree with you get what you really want. Ride on!

Back in the 1950s when I was 20, our little group consisted of a BSA 500 Goldstar, an Ariel 650 twin, a BMW R69S 600 sport, A BMW 250 single and me on a BMW R50 500. I always fancied my pal's Goldstar and we swapped bikes one day. The vibration of the Goldie was absolutely shocking and we swapped back after just a couple of miles. OK, the two bikes are chalk and cheese but I only liked the look of the Goldie after that. The 250 BMW was also a shocking vibrator even though its' engine was rubber mounted. But with modern technology I presume the dreaded vibes are no longer an issue anymore. Incidentally, the R69S just beat the Goldie over a 1/4 mile sprint.

The nearer a manufacturer gets to the original aesthetics the better; legislation and safety considered, and the more I like it, this is perhaps the nearest yet. Nice job.

They have done it a few times but either been too pricey and or underpowered compared to other bikes. One example is the 2014-17 cb1100. I got a 2014 left over in 2017 and it was $5000 cheaper than new. They didn't sell well at 12,500$ when introduced. Also another thing was they advertised the hp at 80 hp. A magazine put one on a dyno and it got 82 hp. The Indian scout that was in the compassion was advertised at 110 hp yet dynoed at 82 hp also. If the just left the hp out of the advertising it would have been better.

@@cheragkheshwala9046 You are dreaming fit & finish is better & is only British heritage large capacity single on market & they have already said be a premium price which means dearer than a Interceptor or GT but you pay for quality be interesting to wait a year to see if there be any teething problems but by the look of it except whopper radiator is a beautiful bike & I would own one.

I would like to see how it’s better than re interceptor 650. With such a big engine is it better to go double cylinders?
@ruahinesrider2 жыл бұрын
I think the Interceptor be smoother & more refined but a single dug dug be fun to ride but it t has a whopper water radiator looks bigger than a Triumph one & that's a 900 or a 1200.

@@splodge5714 Dug Dug.Beatiful machine & looks like the finishing is better than Interceptor,Gt but will be reflected in the price.Is detuned so they can make other models with more (5+8hp) more & (5-8Nm)more but called a Goldflash or similar which is good marketing for them but for us consumers it's sly as we would much prefer nothing detuned.Which means instead of the normal detuning for emissions have gone further so they can sell more models with same engines & in a time with tamper free ECU is a bit checky unless they sell a upgraded ECU for this model when newer powerful models released but unlikely.

@@mattdog1982 haha that's true. But i believe with modern tech vibrations will be not a concern. The power figures are also similar. I own a re classic 350 so I wonder how different would it really be:)

I want one BSA....and one RE Interceptor....and the new RE 350 Classic. I promise my wife to rid the garage of the Honda, the two Kawasakis and the Suzuki. I love the old styling, the simplicity, the time machine effect and most of all, the memories of my youth! Come on USA, import the new RE and the BSA, I am tired of supertech bikes and automotive prices for a two wheel machine.

@@GoIdenApple I must be fair, over the years she has not complained about me buying bikes but only says, "why so many, you can only ride one at a time". I respond, well it is just like your shoes, you can only wear one pair at a time. lol

Only thing I can say is I flung my BSA single down the road when I was sixteen in the sixties. When I got my ankle out of plaster all I had to do was get new handlebars, strip the forks down to straighten the headlamp brackets. The headlamp bezel was changed and a ball end brake lever and I was back on the road. I guess you drop one of these and it's a different ball game.

Great to see the BSA brand alive and kicking again....I love the bike...but some things I am not keen on....the rad is a bit bulky....would love to see more bare alloy on the engine. But worse aspect....the placement of the rear number plate and tail lamp....to low down....and the 45deg angle of the number plate.....whats that about.....needs to be more vertical. Front mudguard looks great....but the rear is to fat...to short and to high above the wheel. May sound like I dont like the bike.....wrong....I love it and hope it sells real well and that the BSA brand is again a huge success. But with attention to those comparatively minor things.....its winner.....ROLL ON BSA. An Edit to add....Ashish why make the pressing in the head lamp bowl for an amp meter....and not fit one.....it would have looked so cool....yes add to the price but by very little....I bought one from india for my 2020 T100 Bonnie.....£13 GBP....looks great.....people often comment on it..... I say again.....its a stunning looking machine.....please dont think I am being negative.....its just that it could be even better. Long live BSA. Nick in the UK.
