J-Hope paid the original artist $2.7 million to remake this song. Both he and Becky G were very influenced by this song growing up. Remember J-Hope was a Hip-Hop/street dancer and is now one of the Main Dancers (Jimin is the other) as well as credited for Being the Dance Leader of BTS.

J-hope is amazing. His albuns are amazing. From his solo work I recommend all of his albuns. But I will mention some singles that have music videos, "Daydream", "Airplane", "More", "Arson", "Neuron", "On the street ft J.Cole" (You will need to listen some rap line songs to understand how he is a big fan of J.Cole). Ans Since you like Suga and j-hopes rap, you should defnitily listen and react to "Huh" by agust d ft J-Hope"

As others have said, he paid nearly 3 mil for the rights to this song - but he didn't even have to because he released this song for free! He paid out of pure respect. He has a lot of feelings and nostalgia about dancing to the original song as a kid.

I didn't grow up with this song, but got introduced to it with this video. I love how J-hope invites everyone into his world and we end up with a trilingual version, with his and Becky G's verses both referencing pride in their birth homes and cultures. BTS members did this song (all 7 of them) at one of their online concerts during the pandemic which is pretty entertaining (Jin rapping, RM and Jimin and JK doing Becky's parts). Also when J-hope did his first (only?) solo concert at Lollapalooza in Chicago in 2022, Becky joined him onstage for this. That concert, by the way, is unbelievable, reportedly 100,000 people outdoors by Lake Michigan, but I think you should save it until you see a lot more of his solo songs so you can appreciate it more. Also, your comment about how it's not fair that someone has so much talent/looks as a BTS member and you don't? As your friend on the left side of the screen says, don't sell yourself short. BTS gives strong messages (3 albums worth of songs on the topic) encouraging us to love ourselves, don't listen to self-doubt, we all have value and gifts and reasons to be here. We all go through hardships, including the BTS members (XCeleste has a great video about the hurdles/haters in BTS's journey), but in the BTS fandom all good-hearted people are welcome and worthy.
