Guys, really sorry to say that, but I think that you don't really understand the concept of 1176 style compression, where the amount of compression is being adjusted with the input knob (and ratio) You're fiddling around with all the other knobs, but you should actually start with the dry level at 0 and the other knobs in the middle, then a very low input and ratio evel. and high output level for little compression, and then you increase the input level/decrease the output level to the amount of compression you like. Then use attack, release and dry knobs to shape the transients.

I was watching that and pulling my hair out!! Turn down the INPUT if you want less compression 😂

It's weird, but I like the way Lee pushes the bypass buttons. There's a very ASMR quality to his pointer finger. 🤷♂. 🤘😎

The Silktone is incredible. It does way more than the demo showed too - great as a clean boost, and the tone control is really something… covers more ground than any other drive I’ve owned except the Automatone and Kernom. And that sound Pete and Lee dialled in at the start is accessible on single coils and humbuckers.

Another win from Wampler! Not only is this channel amazing and I’ve learned so much, both as an engineer and a musician about the pedals that help make even my attempts at noise sound terrific. Thank you for the great sounding pedals re-released at prices the working guy or gal can afford and not worry about dragging a priceless artifact around, and with the extra benefit of the updated version often sounding better, AND with more features. Now.....time for a shootout/comparison! Ibanez MT-10 Mostortion vs Karma MTN-10 vs Wampler Mofetta! Let's get it on!

Wow, great pedals. That Cali76 sounded phenomenal. I just recently upgraded from a Keeley Compressor Plus to a BOSS CP-1X after never having a compressor on my board prior to getting the Keeley. Now I cannot live without a compressor. It is my ONLY always on pedal, it just makes everything sound so much better. I know Compressor’s are notoriously hard to demonstrate via KZbin video, but the BOSS CP-1X and this Cali76 are the two compressors that actually blew me away in a demonstration video. Great job guys!

When it comes to straight up drive pedals, everything has been done sound wise now. Maybe theres some cool UI innovation to come but whilst these sound great, we've heard the same thing many times before.

I agree - not into the LED metering on compressors. Really unnecessary to have that thing flashing every single second you play. It's just something you set once and forget it, which you can very well do by ear and feel, and now it's distracting you forever after.

Sorry, not liking the fizzy and honky sound of the Silktone. Was a little better with the Tele. But could have something to do with the fact that your “clean tone” was not too clean. And yes, I agree the Mullet Drive was so much smoother than the Silktone, which was a plus for me.

Does anyone else hate the fact these pedal companies keep making pedals that don't tell you what they are? They always have some stupid name but you can never tell what it does. If it's a reverb say it's a reverb. If it's an overdrive say it's an overdrive.
