I won't be. I imagine there are others like me that won't either but unfortunately people are very herd type and will jump on the alien bandwagon first thing. I can't follow the crowd like that and I enjoy my character how I mad them. That's why I made them that way.

Unless you are a DPS chaser or dislike you choice of race or sex for you main toon, it really not something worth that amount. If it an alt and has no lockbox traits or ship just spend the Zen on more character slots and make the race and sex you want and level it up.

I'm a buyer if they make TOS characters able to be aliens. Both my mains are TOS. Beyond that, nice thing to have in the game, but I don't have any reason to use it

No, only can change between races with in your current faction.

Vanguard has innate trait similar to the BO one but the weapon damage is 5% this trait works in space and ground reg hafar only works on ground so yea worth converting if u play it

What do you guys do with "surplus" event rewards? Dump them? Seems wasteful but I've only limited inventory space and don't suggest purchasing more slots because that's just kicking the can up the road. I've got unique melee weapons, unique energy weapons for ground and space, other interesting unique items that aren't weapons and just "for fun". I can't sell them, I can't mail them to another character and I've no inventory space or in bank so... do you guys just start dumping these items?? Maybe we can reclaim again them if we dump them?

It's a nice option, most of my characters that could be Alien, are already since I switched from console to Steam not long ago. If I was still playing on Playstation I'd probably use a bunch of this tokens though, the reputation grid is just too ridiculously grindy, and annoying, specially on PC where you have a million clicks to start a single rep, imagine for all of them, every single day. So yeah, this is a much better way to edit a crappy character, with everything already unlocked

the most useless token, it is not hard to get 65, it isn't hard to get to max reputation or admiralty. It takes like 3 months and a few hours a day. If I could balance 17 from level 1 to level 65 (by focusing everyone on to 65 before swapping to a new character with things set up, all the recruit bonuses and account unlocked endeavor mark boxes) than it is a waste of $7

I would love to get Liberated Borg parts on other characters. I have several theme characters. Including a Borg, Reman, and Breen. I would love to have a personal trait that increases cold damage to complete my Breen character (it is already an alien.) I also want to change my Borg character to alien. But, I won't be able to get the Borg aesthetic on it.

Since they want to bring this feature into the tailor, I expect that on the 28th the tailor will be totally buggy. You just know it too well from the game. But it's also funny to see that some players here in German-speaking countries are getting upset about the gender change in Star Trek Online. Which is absolutely ridiculous. Sorry for my bad English must use translator 😅

Watch change tokens only be for non-alien to non-alien because of the need to rearrange the Trait window to accomidate for the addition or subtraction of the the alien trait box

the only thing I'd want to use them for is something you can't do; change a tos char into a liberated borg, or your own equivilent, but this is something that's not allowed. most long time players will have so many alts that changing a chars race will be pointless as they will probably already have a char like that

It's worth noting that "Alien" characters only get the extra Personal Space & Ground trait slots because they do not have built-in species-specific traits. *Every* species in STO gets the same number of space/ground traits - it's just that "Alien" characters get to choose to compensate for the lack of species-specific traits.

Is it worth it? NO because it is cheaper to buy new character slots and make a new character than change one you have spent time making and progressing with and can change the look of at any tailor. Plus they already give you the option of being a customizable alien race at the start of the game which will lets you have the option of being anything you want if you don't like the other options provided. Yes you are sort of locked in on STD and TOS characters but that's because they are period specific, but that's why you would play as them. Still don't know why they don't have a Romulan Starfleet officer option in the game yet, but that's for a different discussion.
