I was polishing and waxing my cars multiple times per year and it was getting tiring as i had 4 vehicles and lived in central texas where it rains a lot. My boss at the time just bought an audi a8 and had a professional ceramic coating applied. He took me with him to pick it up and see the shop and learn about the process. I was intrigued and started doing research, which is how I came across your channel. I have definitely learned a lot from you and appreciate all the testing you do on a vast number of products. I have applied about 15 coatings now, mostly on my cars, but a few of my friends. I have used mckees37, gyeon, adams, and carpro. Imo carpro products have been my favorite and perform at a high level. But above all, I learned that maintaining/washing the vehicle properly is the best way to keep it shiny. I only hand wash my cars, I have never let anyone else touch my cars. Not even when they go in for service. I tell them do not wash lol.

D-Quartz is intriguing. If it can resist scratches and swirls in those “soft cloth” car washes, it will be a game changer. If D-Quartz can stop scratches and swirls in a car wash, it’ll be a lot easier to sell to customers. I’ll wait for your results. @@Wes23Sut Let me explain my thinking differently. Unless you drive on roads with no debris, the tires are going to attract dust and dirt more so than any other part of the vehicle. If I'm cleaning the tires, I'm trying to get the gunk off of tires. The longer a dressing lasts, the harder it is going to be to remove once it's loaded up with funk.

Hi Pan I really enjoy watching your videos. They’re very educational so thank you. I just received Carpro reset for my shampoo and Carpro hydro2 lite with p&S break buster. Question I have my outback ceramic coated 7 days ago and I got a sample bottle of Carpro reload 2.0 50ml bottle how long should I wait to use the reload 2.0 as a topper? Also could I use the hydro2 lite as a topper for the whole car or purchase bigger bottle of reload 2.0 because the 50ml sample bottle isn’t enough?
@PanTheOrganizer9 ай бұрын
Hi Sergio! Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on KZbin as we surpassed 990,000 subscribers and we have over 135 million views! I have been detailing for 27 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. If you had the coating applied 7 days ago, now you can start washing it when you want. If you can, wait another 7 days though, as I like to wait a full 2 weeks before washing a freshly ceramic coated car. You'll give the coating maximum curing that way, as coatings continue to cure for a few weeks after they're applied. After those two weeks, you can wash the car using CarPro Reset, and at the end of the wash process you can apply your first layer of CarPro Reload 2.0 if you want. From then on, reapply a layer of Reload at least once every 2-3 months for proper maintenance of your coating. Reload is like a stronger version of Hydro2 Lite. You can use Hydro2 Lite once a month perhaps, and the good thing about it is that it's great for wheels. Spray on, rinse off, boom. One month of protection. So either use Reload once every 2-3 months, or Hydro2 Lite once a month. Both accomplish the same thing: add protection on top of your coating.

I'm assuming you're asking about DQuartz GO? The version consumers can buy? CarPro recommends to wash it regularly with CarPro Reset shampoo. And for maintenance, they recommend: 1) Occasionally (every 3 to 12 months depending on miles) decontaminate surface with CARPRO Iron X. Use during wash cycle (after Reset) and as directed. 2) Use CARPRO Reload every 3-12 months or as you prefer.

Hi, As we throw away microfiber towels which we use for ceramic coating, do we have to do the same for Reload 2.0?
@PanTheOrganizer Жыл бұрын
No. For Reload, and silica sprays in general, you can just wash the towels immediately after use, and reused them. Unless otherwise mentioned in the intructions of the product you bought.
@bradley-q2h2 жыл бұрын
I believe Modesta makes a wax-based product to apply on their ceramic coatings. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'd like to say its their M1-shot spray.

Hi, Pan! Thanks for the overview! I am curious, could I use that Fabric 2.0 on my winter jacket? )))

Thanks! It says fabrics so depending on what your jacket is made from, perhaps reach out to CarPro and ask them.

Pan, thanks for all your videos! My 911 has never looked better. I see some people using mineral spirits to strip tires prior to applying tire sealant. Your thoughts?
@PanTheOrganizer Жыл бұрын
You can use that yes.

There is a company called Diamond Protech that The Rag Company just debuted a few months ago. It uses nano diamonds in their coatings. Pan might be something to look into. It is currently available.

Can you use both one for black out and the other to protect it from fading?
@PanTheOrganizer Жыл бұрын
You can apply BlackOut or DarkSide for the base protection and during maintenance washes use CarPro PERL for topping the protection.

I’m curious about dark side to see if it can be a topper for black out to have that water beading and extension of the full life of the blackout

Is mckee's top tier products in your opinion pan?
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
They are very good. Near top tier, but perhaps not quite CarPro, Gtechniq, Koch Chemie, or Gyeon level.

can we use darkside weekly on our tires?
@PanTheOrganizer Жыл бұрын
It would be overkill as it lasts quite a long time, but you could certainly try. See my two month update on CarPro DarkSide here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5XMfYSoeMadbNU

Pan, isn't Gyeon Cure similar in concept to Release? Great video btw!
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
Not really. Gyeon Cure is a silica spray sealant, more like CarPro Reload. Release is wax based, no ceramic.

Great presentation Pan 👍how do you clean you tire dressing applicator? I have the same as you but loaded with gunk leaking everywhere it seats on 😓
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
A bit of APC you rinse and let it air dry. Or if it sames the same purpose, just let it lay face down on an old microfiber until its next use. No real need to clean it.
@cranfktubner76772 жыл бұрын
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you 👍 i will try that. I always use it for tire dressing but it get super gunky. I was using VRP before i switched to another brand.

I don't want to go over to the "Darkside", but I would like to try it. Most tire dressings are kinda disappointing because they attract dust. I'll have to give it a try when available. I'm glad you did this video. Was wondering about Carpros' new products. Thank you, Pan.

Hey Pan! Can Fabric 2.0 be applied on alcantara? I've got a Kia Stinger with alcantara trim + heated and ventilated alcantara seat and I'm looking for something to take nice care of it :). Cheers!
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
CarPro officially states "Protects many surfaces such as fabric upholstery, carpets, mats, & convertible fabric tops." So perhaps check with them to see if it's ok on alcantara.
@mikeh99492 жыл бұрын
Is Fabric 2.0 what you would use on Alcantara seats/panels?
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
CarPro doesn't officially mention use on Alcantara. They say it can be used on: Convertible Tops Fabric seats Headliners Fabric Wheel wells Upholstery Carpets Floor Mats Clothing But I found this on a website that distributes CarPro Fabric 2.0: Tips on Alcantara: Cquartz Fabric should be used sparingly and applied evenly via foam applicator. Surface must be 100% clean and dry of all dirts, oils, and sealants. Leave windows down during, and for a few hours after use. Shake product Spray Cquartz Fabric onto foam applicator lightly Work product into material in overlapping circular even motions in both directions, a small area at a time and evenly before moving on. Do not over-work. Allow to air dry Precaution: Once cured, CQuartz Fabric can not be removed so it is critical that you should not use it unless you have experience with the product.
