These maps are huge in comparison to spaced out style ones, but I love the randomness in geysers we get here. I hope developers will bring some of it to spaced out seeds as well - I'm kinda fed up with slush geysers - there's no thrill and rush to dig around looking for the ones you need to survive which is in vanilla game.

You should try an aridio or oasisse cluster sometime, starting on a hot planet with no convenient places to dump heat makes for a really interesting problem. Thanks for this series!

Hey Echo, I am trying to follow along with you while you do this play through, I copied your world seed as you wrote it down, only I changed it from max difficulty to normal difficulty, and my world is slightly off from yours, will changing the difficulty change my world? Do I need to copy your EXACT settings?

Not off of settings. Might be the difference between the patches too, if they changed something on map creation it would change the seed a little too.

The option is available in the new colony options. :) Lot's of settings you can adjust. In this case, we chose only dupes to make the game harder.

@@EchoRidgeGaming would be neat if you could set it to only 1 print, but random item or dupe, so if you have bad luck you won't get dupes until maybe 5th print. Or just bad dupes

Is it just me or does he sound like Alice Cooper? I think you should make the random number include 0 and if you roll a 0 you can skip picking a Dupe.

wow now imagine that playing max diffuculty + all achievements run which Im doing rn its really hard tbh I failed 2 times and at 3rd Im gonna succeed mainly because carnivore and locavore which if you didnt know locavore is do not plant anything not even briar plant for decore untill you made yoir dupes eat 400000 kcal worth of food carnivore is make your dupes eat 400000 kcal of meat (barbeque fish etc) until day 100 its really hard to feed dupes in max difficulty and yet you cant plant which means mush bars for start yup you just make 3 dupes work for food and nothing else 1 running on wheel 1 making mush bar and other making mush fry you cant use any other gen other than hydrogen solar panel steam turbine and manual gen since theres another achievement called super sustainable which requires you to make 24000 kj energy without any combustion (natural gas coal wood petroleum etc) just try it it makes you sweat even if you are really good at the game

thats not hard mode. You planted food so you won't be able to get all achievements done already.

I appreciate your perspective and thank you for your comments. This channel and community will always be a place to celebrate and appreciate diversity in people and in thought. I believe it would have been more of a problem only naming dupes based on the color of their skin instead of the makeup of their character. Hence our black dupe is named Thor because he is a strong dupe. It would have been a shame not wanting to give him that name, because he didn't fit a specific skin color. I am building a community where people can take a break from the problems of the world and come together to enjoy games. For this reason, I debated not responding further. I understand occasionally, and unintentionally, the two may bleed together. The last thing I want to produce is divisive content or comments. In this case though, I want to be as transparent as possible. This way, viewers know that I did, in fact, put thought into it.
