Great reviews as always. Glad you enjoyed The Moon Is Following Us. Can't wait to get my hands on that soon. Like you I can't stand it when a quarter of the comic pages are ads. One reason I stopped reading Marvel and DC. They just stop the flow. Save them for the end like most indi comics do. 👍

Yeah and I swear I'm starting to see three pages in a row of ads on Marvel. Meanwhile Gilt Frame is 70 pages long, card stock, and thick interiors, and there's not a single ad in the whole issue.

Clear, concise, and to the point. Nice job. Moon is following didn't disappoint. Started off a bit rocky but came together nicely by the end. Do you think there should have been more of a foundation or framework in the beginning? Introducing a reader to strange fantasy realms has to be challenging. Probably wait for the TP to check out Hellblazer. Still have Body Trade and Ice Cream Man to read. They look interesting. Alright Nick

The Tin Can Society, the Graveyard club and the body trade were duds. Oh well, ya win some, you lose some Tin Can Society wasn't too bad

I give a comic book 3 issues to grip me since that's nearly the price of 1 volume of Viz manga (major manga reader).

My top pick this week was Tin Can Society. The story was really compelling for me and they introduced the characters really well. They also got me thinking already about who the killer might be. I also really liked the concept of a science genius being adopted by a devout christian family. Falling in... was a close second for me. I found the story making me question things about morals and ethics and how how this book is using them to tell a story about the afterlife. Wonder woman #13 was at the bottom of my list this week. This was the first time i've read a wonder woman issue and they devoted a lot of panels to showing her make out with her boyfriend and them being mushy with each other. Maybe i chose the wrong time to hop on the book but i found it really cheesy.

Yeah Tin Can has some interesting things going on. Can't wait to dive more into the friends and possible motivations. Likely there are some twists coming. WW is too heavy handed and it's taking too long to tell this story which is all over the place. Also the tie in ruined it for me.

You asked" how long you give a book before bailing on it?" 1 issue. If neither the art or story grab me instantly after reading the issue, I'm out. The cost of comics has made me weary of sticking with mediocre books. That being said, I read a lot of the books you featured here. Ice Cream Man, Hellblazer, Moon is Following Us. The comics I do buy are well worth the $$.

Yeah I get the 1 issue try out period. Just FOMO is keeping me on that title right now...

i agree, i only give mine maybe 1 or 2 issues at most. 2 bad issues in row is basically a death sentence for me

Destro dipped a bit this issue for me . Spoilers . Not sure it made sense why Astoria was trying to assassinate Destro or how she knew his hideout . His hideout was supposed to be known only to him and yet he was concerned that someone in Mars gave it away ? The writing took a dip as they many times do in comics . Disappointing .

I felt destro took a huge dip starting from last issue
