New details on how a gunman got past security in assassination attempt of Trump

So, now it's being reported he got onto the roof by climbing air conditioning units. Previously, it was reported that a ladder was used. A ladder clearly seen in some footage against the building in a breezeway behind a hedge. Were police or SS aware of it? Unclear. Was the ladder a permanent fixture on the building? Unclear. It is not present in some older photos of that area. If not, who placed the ladder in that location and when?
