Man, the Marauder has such a striking design by simply taking what Doomslayer has and giving it a hard demon twist. It’s much like the Vergil to Doomslayer’s Dante, “different but similar”. Part of me almost wishes they let him really take that rival aspect up and show up multiple times throughout the story for multiple increasingly harder boss fights.

I know this is a pre-release video and all but there is a confusion going around about Argent energy. Argent energy isn't the essence (source of power for Hell) by itself, it's the essence, enhanced with Wraith energy (source of power for Argent D'nur) - the codex mentioning that is being read here (5:00+) I'm not sure if there is a codex confirming this, but this is heavily implied that since the Maykrs moved to Argent powered devices and it's mostly Hell's essence, it corrupted everything, including Maykrs connected to the Hivemind and Sentinels using the Argent Powered Armor. Which is why the Seraphim, who mostly remained un-tethered (they were an emissary meaning they were based in Argent D'Nur) could see the upcoming horrors and blessed the Slayer, and disconnected the Father's conscience from the Hivemind (which further fuels the theory that Seraphim is Hayden and Vega is the Father)

Hi Midnight, awesome video, keep them coming, the lore is fascinating. Based on the current lore and codex in doom 2016 and eternal, I am 100% sure that the doom slayer is doom guy/ the doom marine because the slayer was the only human able to traverse across dimensions and across time itself. In his ravenous hatred for demon kind and hell itself, he somehow found himself travelling to the sentinel home-world after ages of fighting hell he was suffering from PTSD as a result of all the nightmarish things he has seen while in hell. I find him to be the easiest out of all the other bosses/mini bosses in the game. Just dash around, wait for green, super shotty. Super shotty his dog if you have to, dash some more. Chainsaw trash mob for ammo, rinse and repeat. Despite it being so repetitive, it's incredibly enjoyable due to how fast and aggressive the marauder(s) are.

(spoilers) So can someone help me understand this: VEGA asks if he Is the Makyrs father when you plug him into the computer in urdak, Khan Makyrs codex entry is possibly eluding to this when they say that the father disappeared, probably referencing when you destroy Vega in doom 2016 this would also kind of make sense because in doom 2016 it is stated in a codex entry that the actual definition of the acronym VEGA isn't known by anybody but Samuel Hayden, I mean it's also kind of evident that Samuel Hayden know a *lot* more than he's letting on, and he's letting on a lot already. Idk though I'm not exactly a lore head or anything I just casually take in the story as i see it so let me know if I'm completely wrong about something
