Thanks for the weekly dose of calm, Paul. I remain curious as to why they are keeping 'service hatches' open in the brick facade, seen @ 25:35 and 26:46 mins.

Can't wait to see it from that angle at night once all the spotlights on the mezzanine are switched on and the blue ambient lighting 👌🏻

thanks for the update Paul, as you say the pitch is seeded & covered, but i wonder what they have covered the seed / pitch with, it looks like polythene, but im guessing its some sort of fabric that the grass grows through?
@DuncTheBlue18788 күн бұрын
No, the grass won’t grow through it. It’s there to stop pigeons eating the seed and also provides ideal humid conditions for germination 👍🏻

Are they doing mood lighting all across the east stand where there is a gap
@SP-14149 күн бұрын
Yes. Still in the testing stage at the moment.

Is the dock next to the ground still accessible by boats? Then Premier League footballers can arrive in their super yachts and conveniently moor alongside.
@veryhighguy9 күн бұрын
yes but not sure they have built an access point to the ground.

Canal boats can access Nelson Dock to the south via the Leeds-Liverpool Canal. However, they won’t be able to access the water channel or Sandon Dock to the west and north west. ‘Super Yachts’ entering the Mersey won’t be able to stop at the stadium
@JayEFC19697 күн бұрын
Sandon Half Tide Dock to the north is accessible but the docks to the south as far as Princes Dock are only suitable for boats that can navigate a canal channel.

You would think somebody would fish all that floating garbage out of the basin at the SW corner. It looks so bad and presumably it's a one-time job.

Don’t worry, it’ll be sorted

Graham: As the others have already suggested here we can expect a clean up at the end. Having said that the natural order of things is such that water flows from the canals to the south Isolation Bridge, so any detritus falling in upstream could end up there. It will be even more likely when Peel are actually developing around Nelson Dock (I am not buying into this rumour that TFG are actively looking to develop Nelson Dock Quay sides)(or looking to expand the stadium before its been built. I think some wannabe journalists are putting 2 and 2 together to get 100!). I CAN accept that TFG will be trying to get their hands on surrounding property but I don't think PEEL will cede any of their development planned assets now that they have the Stadium adjacent. The value of their developments will already have increased significantly ,and justify them accelerating their plans.
