It’s so funny because we have such different taste in books (I don’t like thrillers/mystery/sci fi) but I’m obsessed with your videos. I wish I could read as much as you!! Genuinely don’t know how you find the time. Do you do content creation full time?
@BooksandLalaАй бұрын
KZbin is one of my main steady streams of income for sure, so I definitely spend a significant amount of time on it 🩷

This video is so cool. Love how you present Stats. For the books not included in a Vlog you could do a a wrap up video featuring just those books. "The Leftovers " You could probably just mention the books and go into any that are note worthy. Then your monthly wrap-up could be exclusively about Stats or other things . Love your content ❤❤❤
@seeowlreadАй бұрын
I second this idea. If it was in a vlog then I feel like you only need to put it in a wrap-up if you reeeeeeally want to. Also your stats are always superb.

I love your wrapups!! Even though i watch every video and know what you think about each book, the monthly and quarterly wrap ups remind me of which books to put on my tbr. They also kind of feel like a nice conclusion and literally “wrap up” that time period into a nice pretty bow ☺️💝
@lorenamunguia-cortez9368Ай бұрын
I’m with you on the wrap up thing. It does sometimes get a little redundant with the books you’ve already talked about in vlogs. Saying this with love! lol

Horror was a big win for me these last few months as well! I Was A Teenage Slasher being the TOP TOP, I loved that book so much, and completely feel the same about being so happy that I really GOT this book! The Pallbearers Club and Horror Movie were also big wins for me, I picked up Paul Tremblay because of your videos and loved both books! I also read Jane Eyre for the first time last month, and it’s now my favorite classic novel!

Re: recent faves, I've been in a big historical romance mood lately and was blown away by Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater and Earl Crush by Alexandra Vasti (a sequel to Ne'er Duke Well). I know you've done videos diving into romances, but have you ever gotten into historical romance/do you think it's a genre that would work for you?

Now that I look back on my reading for this quarter, it has been actually pretty good! 😁 Tho, same as you, my September reading has generally been pretty meh 😒 My favorites of this quarter are, in following order: 1. Liar's Knot by M.A. Carrick (book 2 in the Rook & Rose trilogy, which is turning out to be one of my new favorite series) 2. Funny Story (my first Emily Henry book - I cried so much) 3. Gilded by Marissa Meyer ( book 1 in Rumpelstiltskin retelling duology, an unexpected surprise and my favorite Marissa Meyer book) 4. Cage of Dreams by Rebecca Schaeffer (book 2 in the City of Nightmares duology - very vibe-y, I quite liked it) Huh, would you look at that - an even split of 2 adult and 2 YA stories 🤔

I read We Used to Live Here on a plane and actually jumped when the seat belt sign dinged bc it was at the exact moment of a jump scare in the book 😂

Buddy read “Every Time I Go On Vacation, Someone Dies” with my mom and we both loved it! Just the summer vibes we needed. Finally got around to reading “The Other Side of Night” and was blown away by it. And if you’re looking for a weird book, “Perfume: the Story of a Murderer” is just that

My favourite this quarter was Cascade Failure by L.M. Sagas and the sequel Gravity Lost. They're science fiction. I stumbled upon them through an Amazon recommendation and was pleasantly surprised. The found family aspect really sold it for me.

Sometimes I don’t have time to see the whole vlog or video (or I am not motivated to do tbqh)but I love seeing everything that you have read. At the same time it is alwas nice to see the ones that you have not featured in a vlog. But again I would get it if you stopped posting them ❤️

I had a little giggle when you talked about Brat. We are usually very in sync with opinions on “weird” books, but I HATED Brat. I still really understand why you love it though. On paper and based on themes it’s a book I feel i should love, which makes it all the more disappointing.

Kayla I think if you wanna read more books for your enjoyment then just do it! :) reading is all about fun and new experiences etc but if you worry about content then I think we’ll all love your mood readinf vlogs or going bookshopping and seeing if its a hit or miss something like this where you can read whatever you want and just tell us about it :) or not if you wanna keep it in your heart a little while 🫶🏻 anyway love you, love your content have a great day
