I’m a little older than Grandpa and grew up with no AC at home , or in the car either . We had one box window fan for the whole house! No AC at school either .. climate change is called Mother Nature controlled the weather! All of that made us tougher! We only had about four channels we could get on our black n white screened tv too! Us kids were the remote and we only had one tv too, unless my dad was repairing a tv for his side job . Oh how I do miss those days with my family ❤.. Matt you are doing great with the animal feedings! 😊

I'm older than Granpa too. When I was young we would shuck the ice trays and put ice in our bathtub so we could cool off. No kidding. We had those old timey metal trays that you had to shuck.(Pull the lever)

This sounds exactly like our home! One of my summer trips to the Aunties, we had a window fan that we 3 little girls took out so we could hang out the window to watch all the big trucks leaving town.... and smelling their exhaust fumes!! Awwww the life!!

Cental air conditioning is what happened!!! I am 54, grew up in very Southern Illinois. It isn’t “hot” until it is 102 and 80% humidity!! Then you still walk everywhere you go or ride a bike if you were lucky. Matt, you are the "big brother" now! You get to tell Chad and Kyle how it's done!! Full support from Elizabethtown Kentucky!

Exactly, it was hot then also. I remember being a Kid and sleeping out on the Porch, because it was to hot inside. Kentucky has always been Hot in the Summer, I'm in Nicholasville now.

What a wonderful gift of a homemade blanket that is. Back when I was in college in 1982 my roommates mother made me one. I have been using it ever since on my bed, wrapped around all 4 of my children and I while watching TV and even took it camping a few times. To this day some 40+ years later, it is still one of my favorite and most useful things.

67 here, and I know what you're talking about Ralph. There was no AC, and you were out right after breakfast, came in for lunch, then out again til dinner. If it were still daylight after dinner, you got to stay out until the street lights came on.

All the scientists have always known there were drastic climate changes that killed off different civilizations and dinosaurs. The Earth is a living organism. I'm 71 and I grew up in Oklahoma and we had very hot summers.

I got married on March 22, 1980. That summer, when I'd gotten pregnant, we had sixty consecutive days over 100 degrees in Dallas, TX, where I was living at the time. That being said, I believe we've been seeing more extremes in the last twenty years - more frequent high level tornadoes and also in places not used to tornadoes. Good luck on your upcoming surgery. It was only 85 degrees today, yay. Tomorrow is supposed to be 96 degrees. Bella is eating faster and looks better, but still not completely better. I am cautiously optimistic that she will be o.k. I am seeing a specialist on the 24th for a mass in my throat. Please pray for me. I am praying for you too. We will all get through this together. God bless you all. Rock and Love.
