I lived on a broad river as a kid and made many a raft like that. I'd actually suggest leaving some of those water-clipping-over-the-raft effects. It is very realistic to the way water washes over the surface of simple wooden rafts while moving. Great looking update!

You really need to add more things to do, even more than more island to explore (also because it'll cause some design issues). The fishing was a step in the right direction.

I got it on day one of early access. It is a little bare, but was still awesome. I built myself a little farmhouse and lots of planters, windpower and water etc. Just growing flowers and selling them at the village. Got a little samey after a few days, but I'm confident it'll be an absolutely solid game when it reaches 1.0.

@@D00M3R_MAVS sounds awesome, looking forward to the release. Might play it earlier if i don't have anything else to play but i don't see that happening. Valheim for example was an absolutely amazing game and it's not finished, played for 200h at release and plan on doing that again when it is finished:)

@@MaxxxMaxMaxx I only just bought Valheim last week. I thought you had to play with a team, so I never bothered picking it up. After V Rising becoming my new favourite game though, I decided to pick up Valheim as well as I'd heard it compared so much. Also Valehim has a really in depth building side to it, so I definitely want to try and make a full Norse Village with a Mead hall and stuff. Seen some amazing stuff online. I'd definitely recommend V Rising to you if you like Valheim.

The graphics alone makes me happy. I bought it on Steam, mostly to support the game, I'm gonna wait playing it until controller support (my laptop gets too hot when playing on it, so I plug HDMI into the tv and play with controller). Been following the game for quite some time, and it comes along beautifully.

those are quite the nice improvements and very sweet content. The whole dev blog is super wholesome. Regarding the shaking effect: I like it. In terms of accessibility for other people, if you could make it possible to switch that shake on and off, that would be a huge thing! Thank you for the hard work!

You can switch it off! We added a new toggle in the menu to disable the shake for people who do not like it :)

Hi Julian, you can write a Zdepth shader, and put it on a box attached to the boat, and you can set the render queues so the water won't be rendered in that box's region.

3 things in order for this game to become successful: 1) Coop 2) Bigger map or procedural Dungeons 3) Upgrade items system and skills 3) End Game Progress this will make it kind of a roguelike game but it what it's trying to be If you do not want that then 1) Coop 2) Story or campaign or huge map 3) A lot of items and weapons and also same items but different variations flame effect or poison effect or weapons that give certain buffs e.t.c 4) End Game infinite dungeon mode that has progression skill tree is a nice plus i would like.. for example.. i I fish long enough i get certain skills for it, or I can follow a certain path , sword, bow e.t.c It needs customization of your character, right now each character is the same. we need customization and specialization plus what i said above. This will make the game skyrocket because the base game is really amazing and has really unique gameplay.. If this happens it will go to another level.. Good luck guys i hope you post something soon it has been months..

The procedurally generated islands scare me. One huuuuuge advantage that must not be overseen about manually building them is the ability of creating memorable places, storytelling, curated content ... If you generate them procedurally, they might become less "interesting" overall... HOWEVER, taking advantage of procedural systems is good! You could use them to place props automatically, light scripted events, ... to make the islands feel more full, alive and a bit more unique.

They are Psuedo-random. Hand made but scattered around randomly, Everything still has it's personal touch.

wish you did fishing with good interactive mouse moving component, like My Time in Portia, because that is the best way to do minigames. like the lockpicking in Bethesda games and Mass effect. It looks like just clicking and that is not fun.

I know this video was made 3 months ago but did you guys change the fishing again because it just doesn't work in my game. I put my fishing line into the water and it never goes taught. The bobber gets pulled under the water and then I see a A white circle happen at the tip of my fishing rod and then the bobber comes back up and I see a red crit circle and that's it over and over and over.
