New Flex Compact Tools - what to know before you buy

At 8:07 that's one thing I hate about doing construction in the US, in Canada you would never find a construction screw that a #2 Phillips. Everything is a #2 Robinson or Red Robinson (because Robinson is also colour coded) In the US you have to buy T25 Torx screws as a special purchase, as opposed to be opposed to them being standard for construction screws! It doesn't sound like a big deal until you show up to a job site in the US and they hand you the screws and you spend every third screw experiencing cam'out. Not to mention not being able to screw from angles really well, plus it could be dangerous when you cam'out and your momentum takes you forward.

That drill has a crazy amount of power for a compact tool. It’s putting out just as much torque as Ryobi’s full size HP hammer drill and quite frankly, might be even more powerful than the Ryobi. You’re a beast cuz 👊👊👊

Don’t have any of the new compact Flex tools but do have the driver, oscillating tool, router and picking up the hammer drill from Lowe’s on Wednesday. If I have my way, I’ll have them all- they’re amazing and the warranty they provide shows that they stand behind their tools.

These were designed for work where compact and mobility are required. I’ve got tools from a little bit of everyone but my main platform is dewalt. But flex is coming strong with slot of useful things

Same I just found it for 99$, had to buy it online tho. Even if I don’t use the impact a drill a lot, comes with a bag, batteries and charger. Well worth it!

I just bought the same kit at lowes. registered online lifetime warranty. Called customer service just to confirm the registration went through and they gifted me a t shirt and hat. Its on the way. Quite nice if u ask me

If I'm going compact, I'm going real compact as in Milwaukee m12. I'm a pro electrician for a living and m12 does 95 percent of the tasks I need in a day. Granted you still need 18v tools for heavy duty tasks but they only come off the truck when needed

They look like performers but I prefer Milwaukee due to the compact battery without any overhang. Has been a saver for tight spaces many time for me.

Had the problem on my 5ah battery and I called the flex support number and they are sending a replacement. Also I think it's only the older batteries
