Ecowas projects are not necessarily funded by Ecowas. It is Ecowas project because all Ecowas countries have agreed to develop the route per a certain standard and specification within a time frame. This is GoG project. Ecowas does not have any money to fund road projects in individual countries.

It is rather called the ECOWAS CORRIDOR road project but is financed by the Government of Ghana. The countries involved are Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Ghana, and La Cote Divoire. Each of the countries listed will be financing on their own. From Lagos to Abidjan.
