The schrader valve stem of the gauge is where it has leaked more times than I can remember during air tests. I started carrying at least 3 gauges, a valve stem wrench, and extra valve stems to avoid the frustration of the past during the testing of known quality installations, and the pressure drops at the gauges. Great videos and work! 🙂👍

I always start my day off with spilling a cup of coffee, wouldn't have it any other way! God works in mysterious ways!

The gas guages are cheap as heck. I bet she had a small seepage of air at the flared fitting for the dryer. It won't leak thought, gas psi is .5 or less. 10 psi is way more.

Yeah, the gauges I’m used to are $90 a pop and show it more detailed. The gas company came out and tested and it passed. Lol.

Is that the Tracpipe proprietary tape you used to wrap the the stainless steel? I know Tracpipe says you are supposed to use their tape but I have always just used electric tape. Was wondering if it is functionally any different than standard electrical tape. I liked Tracpipe’s Autosnap because it eliminates any exposed stainless steel but I have not been able to get them in a while and have even heard they don’t make them anymore.

Yes it’s TracPipe Silicone Tape. It is pretty different from electrical tape. It creates a watertight seal.

test pressure here used to be 10psi for ten minutes, now I think it's 15psi for 10 minutes crazy when think what the working pressure is
