FYI There's another Alienware code that still active "Star Trek Online Borg Assimilation Pack" 264 left as of posting this, which comes with: Borg Exoskeletal Frame ∞ (Bound to Character) Special Requisition Pack - Liberated Borg Engineering Officer (Bound to Account) 12 Bank Slots (Bound to Account) If you open the Borg bridge officer on a Romulan,that's one of the rarest bridge officers in the game apparently, because you can't buy it or get it through other means. There's a further 3rd code, for Discovery, but although there are keys left, when trying to claim the key through the launcher it says it's expired.

Also two things: One if you're new like me and have no idea wtf happened to the pet in that alienware pack, after you claim the pack under promotions, the pet will be in the store under the "personnel" tab to be claimed for free. For me it was like fourth from the bottom of the list. And Two, that borg exoskeletal frame also unlocks a cosmetic uniform which is pretty cool. You can turn yourself or any of your bridge officers into a borg.

For some reason, when I went to sign up for the alienware thing which required me to make a alienware account to get a key, instead of setting up a alienware, it set up a dell rewards account and subscription. It was a pain to cancel and delete this account and even if you do that, it won't delete your data. You need to jump through hoops and go through a forum, putting in various codes they send you, then wait for them to email you back with a confirmation that they will delete your data. I am still waiting for them to email me back, so no idea if they even will. I don't recomend doing the alienware code thing since they obviously aren't trustworthy. I followed the links in the description. I have not tried the epic launcher one so can't comment on how that works, but don't really want to.

@@G1Arcee You "obviously" did do something wrong. I just created a new account to test it and it works just fine. Another thing, Alienware is an official organization selling monitors and pc's, etc. There's nothing untrustworthy about them given their reputation. I've been claiming codes for years from here.

They really should make the inventory slot and other services tradeable. I'm maxed out in bank and inventory slots and I have like 25 of the "12 inventory slot" items that are just sitting around. It's just from all the freebies over the years.

They really need to figure out a way to let Steam players link their accounts to Epic. We miss out on so much stuff. I understand they did allow linking some time ago for a limited time, but why was that time gated? That was before I played the game and I didn't know about it. Now I'm stuck with money sitting in a Zen store (and a few years of progress) in the steam version of the game.

None of these worked for me on 27 Feb 2024. Alienware keeps saying there is a problem and you can't log in. The Epic link leads to a 404 error page. The Arc link leads to a page where you can enter a code, but no code is provided. I guess they've all expired now. How do you keep apprised of these giveaways so as to not miss them?

The colors are not really random. The game takes the currently closest colors ro your design if you change it from an existing piece as a console player uts way more clear because its impossible to not get a previous putfit if you try to make a new one. I personally love the armoe but recommend switching it to red/brown and orange for the tubes

Is it possible to do Xbox related content for STO? I cannot afford a computer and play STO on an Xbox. The look of the HUD in the pc is different from the Xbox and hasn’t been a huge issue but if content for console users isn’t an option, could you point to anyone who does STO for the consoles? What I’ve found on KZbin is all pc, I cannot track down anyone doing specifically Xbox STO content. Maybe it could just be a segment or something if possible. You creators have a very difficult gig and sincere apologies asking you to do more, I’m just on a fixed income nowadays and at least in the near future won’t have a computer. However it shakes out, thank you for considering and I wish you and yours well friend.

@@davelee7296 I empathize friend though I may not share your exact sentiment. I think, and this is pure speculation, the games that start on pc and come to console are biased towards the pc because of beginning there and vice versa. Doesn’t bother me, MC Stu’s content for the most part is fine for me. I get the info I need, I just wish there was someone doing console STO so that the interface and whatnot wouldn’t be confusing to me, I’m quite sure there are many who have no problem with this but for me I spent an hour trying to find sliders I didn’t have lol to adjust weapons, shield, aux, and engines……..or maybe I do have them and still haven’t found em 🤣 🤣 🤣.

MC Stu plays on PC only as far as I know. TriZander plays on PC and Playstation and streams on KZbin and Twitch. CasualSAB and Stu1701 play on PC, but cover the news for console too. Augmented Dictator Games plays on PC and is primarily focused on build videos, but his info/advice transfers to console too. All have their different styles. Having said all that, treat the content PC KZbinrs produce like an advance warning of what's to come on console as we get most of it a month or two later. I don't know of any purely Xbox KZbinrs for STO, but I've never found there is a need for one. Good advice for the game works across all platforms. As you say, there are differences with the HUD etc but much of what PC KZbinrs cover applies to console too...eventually. If you've questions specific to Xbox, there are plenty of us around who watch these streams/videos who can probably offer some assistance. More often than not these giveaways are restricted to PC. Occasionally one pops up for console too and when it does, one or more of the above content creators will cover it.

Then just wanted to fly some ships so did what one has to so I could and started getting really into it, now I’m hooked lol but I didn’t even know “giveaways” were not only usually pc but that things had to trickle down to us. Your response was very helpful, I like MC Stu and like ya said, the info crosses over. I’ll have to check out some of those channels you mentioned but gotta say I like how MC Stu does his thing. ​@@OlNeb-k2b If there is one thing there is a lot of in STO it's ships...haha! The tutorial only gives you a rudimentary understanding of the game. The real meat and potatoes comes later as you learn more about the multitude of systems and in-game currencies through experience and asking folks. The annual summer and winter events run simultaneously on all platforms with a free ship on offer for taking part. For everything else though, from new ship bundles being released to new story missions these come to console a month or more after PC. One thing we got recently is the ability to hide the HUD on console, for taking cleaner screenshots. Something which has been requested for several years. So the occasional surprise pops up every now and again. Much of the differences between how the game works between platforms is due to the limitations of what you can do with a controller compared to a mouse and keyboard. Activating abilities using the radial menu in battle is finicky at times on console. On PC there's a 'spam bar' on screen to simply mouse click what you want to activate instead. We have the odd thing that is better on console too though. Auto pick up of random drop gear by just moving near it being one. On PC they have to start clicking prompts for each item to do the same thing. Much of the news recently has been about the anniversary event and free event ship on PC and the daily giveaways leading up to it. That always happens in late January. We'll get the same on console, but ours starts around the first couple of weeks in March. Yeah MC Stu's great although he's been very busy with real life stuff recently. TriZander is quite excitable and has funny sound commands enabled on his streams so it can get quite noisy at times! I'm sure he won't mind me saying that...haha! Stu1701 talks fast and his trademark is the top hat he wears for every video. CasualSAB (aka Spencer) has...in his own words, a more casual approach.🙂 Augmented Dictator Games (aka Angry Auggie) is more ship build focused. Not always easy to catch the live streams due to timezones (I'm in the UK) but the VODs are available to watch afterwards. They're all great in their own way with lots of useful info about the game. Never thought I'd still be here after more than five years since I started.

I'm not unfamiliar with gaming on PC but i tried going from Xbox to PC for STO but I didn't find it fun because of the differences in gameplay... Soo I honestly hate how all the giveaways these days are PC only due to discontinued Arc app on console(not that every giveaway before worked with consoles even though it stated that it did...) 🫤
