@@213chewy - If Gun is “on roster” California pricing will be much closer to elsewhere. “Off roster” guns are insanely priced, commiserate with supply and demand. Listing shadow systems may well drop prices for many of those off roster guns. How much better can a used gun be, compared to new one of these - and how much extra would you pay for it?

Cant wait! Ive never been a fan of Glocks, but I got to shoot these shadow systems pistols on my cousins ranch in Texas. Since then I said these were the pistols if ever available in California would finally make me jump on the Glock bandwagon (sort of). So bring it on Shadow Systems. @@chriscarnes87me and my brother attended this expo and spoke with the guy in this video and I can say the hate is lame in order to make a Glock with all those changes it’s costing you over 1500$ compared to buying one of these for like 900-1000 already upgraded fresh out the box aswell as self defense warranty when your firearm gets taken in as evidence you get a new one:) take care

You can assemble a nice Glock from aftermarket parts for a quarter of that price you stated, and half of the Shadow System’s design. You can buy nice COMPLETE aftermarket slides that are RMR cut, with flush crowned barrels and with stainless steel guide rods for under $300. After market COMPLETE frames for under $200. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to upgrade your existing Glock or to have a nice Glock clone. I’m not hating on Shadow Systems, just anyone saying it’s a “Killer” or “better” than Glock is just ignorant. One is no “better” than the other! It’s all opinionated.

One thing I will say for those that aren't aware is Shadow Systems guns do have about a 200rd break in period where you may experience some reliability issues. And even outside that from my own experience with an XR920p is that their guns sometimes are temperamental with the ammo you put through em either due to the brass being too thick from reman ammo, or having harder military style primers you may experience off center primer strikes. Which will seem like a light primer strike

I had field stripped and cleaned and lubed my before shooting and both of mine had no issues. My friends had a few within the first 150 then they were functioning with no issues. Use full power ammo breaking in.

I am honestly really excited about the idea of a magazine disconnect trigger for Glock pistols. This will allow a lot more companies to be able to bring glock-style weapons like the Polymer80 complete frames into California. Of course I would swap it out. But for import and sale, it’s really cool.

Duality: 1) We lose CZ-75's, one of the few all metal guns, we can get in California. 2) We gain an upgraded optics ready Glock clone in three sizes in one caliber. I know many will say the option for more practical and utilitarian polymer framed IWB CCW option is the better pick, but I am saddened by the passing of old reliable classics.

As long as these new to roster guns have a manual safety and magazine disconnect and no way to easily remove them the Glock gen3 is king.
