I’m sorry but as a gsc player we do NOT need another charecter!!! Half of our codex is filled with characters, and we would really love something other than abberants for the role of tanky elite/troop units. I am really surprised GW insists on giving us yet more characters, we already have so many options in the character department.

yes omg last thing we need is another character. let’s start by making what we have useable (looking at you magus). a powerlifter type walker would be cool (soemthing terminator sized or a bit bigger that could be taken in 3s). maybe something like a huge abberant troll type thing or something that is closer to a tyranid monster

Hear me out: the GSC model is a named character, that can be used in Necromunda and 40k. In the Book of Ruin, there's a GSC Bounty Hunter experimenting on his companions, trying to improve them, mould them greater. Dude has a large staff, a snazzy coat, a large head and headress, and multiple arms. Its possible at least! Edit: I wasn't far off!

This is the perfect oppertunity to fill out the rest of the other side of Ad Mec, instead of just the skitari side. We could have an imperium faction that functions more like dark eldar.

1) Expand brood brothers to allow for any battleline unit to be taken (while leaving the current rules for taking imperial guard tanks and the like). 2) This teased character will join a brood brothers unit and gives them bonuses. I mean, maybe his big brain is used to control his squad? 3) Make the Magus actually do something (give him a pychic gun or something at least) 4) Bring back neophyte shotguns 5) Give acolytes / metamorphs a combined gun statline (Small Arms: 3 shots torrent, pistol S3 AP0 D1) and drop them a point because currently the hand flamer is just way too good compared to autopistol. That solves some of the genestealer issues at least.

As a GSC player I already struggle to fit in all the characters I want to yet still reach 400+pts in em each list. If the new character is anything less than an auto-include then its being ignored. Even if it is, I wont be rushing to buy it since Ive got enough.

My personal guess is that the claw and foot belong to a model (or models) that will be exclusive to Vashtor's detachment. It would make sense, seeing as how he controls the soul forge and would theoretically keep the "good stuff" for himself

The "mystery exo suit" looks VERY Adeptus Mechanicus to me. Possibly corrupted in some way by the look of that claw-thing, either by chaos or simply heretical tinkering, but it wouldn't be too far fetched for the regular ones to equip their machines in similar fashion for close combat.

Admech bots better actually be able to do damage. Most of the army is stat checked by just Intercessors. GW acknowledged that Breachers are the only decent hitting unit, but that does nothing when oppent knows that they just need to kill them first then clean up.

Im a GSC player straight huffing copium. They revealed the ensalver model not too long ago. Looking at that model and at this spoiler for a GSC character the shapes fit very well. I'm coping we'll get some type of enslaver leader leading a unit of ensalvers. Yes i understand they would have to retcon a lot, but ill die on this hill until the reveal.

Complaints about GSC getting another character were expected. But seems like people forget - it's not a matter of what army needs, it's about GW production cycle. GW usually releases big unit refreshes in waves for two/three editions then takes a break for a few editions, then cycle repeats. The only real exceptions are starter factions of each edition that get ever bigger release than average wave, like Marines, Tyranids, Necrons etc. Since GSC released as a brand new army in 7th and got more in 8th, it was obvious they won't get much in 9th and 10th. So a character model was expected, better have that compared to the past, when armies used to have not even a single model per edition guaranteed. Plus hey,we got new Brood Brothers through Kill Team, that's technically two releases...

Okay GW has had an obsession with exosuits/Mech suits recently and they need to stop, one they look terrible, two there are eldar models still needing reskulpts. Also GSC don’t need anther character, if anything they are actually pretty good sitting right now, maybe focus on LoV?
