New Hori Full Review vs The Logitech G heavy Equipment Bundle

Appreciate you taking the time to review this. When I first saw it I was interested, then I saw the price and some of the missing features for that price (even crappy FFB).. Now seeing people reporting the same issues and basically no responses from HORI.. Makes me glad I passed on it..

That is USB Type A. USB Type B is what you plug into the back of a printer. And of course, you know what USB Type C is. I would go with Hori for just the joystick, but I would not want the wheel. I prefer Thrustmaster's version for a wheel and pedals, so will probably go with their Farm Stick, too.

Thanks for pointing out my error here with usb types. This not for everyone and thrustmaster makes some great peripherals that work great for a number of different games. Hori is great for farm sim. While it does work for other games I feel that it is difficult to get setup for other games.

@@Jakedup77 If they sold just the joystick piece by itself without the wheel and pedals, I would definitely get that over the Thrustmaster Farmstick. I just prefer Thrustmaster wheels and pedals. Hopefully they'll do a break out of that piece of it.

I sent the Hori system back. Got the T248 wheel. I love it! Better than my G29! I had a T16000 stick ( which is what the farm stick is built on) and the Z axis failed after only 6 months. Do some research, it's a common issue with the Thrustmaster stick. So I won't buy the farm stick. I really believe Hori will have to sell the panel separately soon.....just to make a profit. Their wheel is garbage.

It may reset everything if you need to re map the controls to use the Hori setup

Make sure to make a copy of your inputBinding.xml --- That way you can always go back a step. That file is located in your FarmingSimulator2022 folder. The same folder that has your savegame1, savegame2, etc.

Hello , is there force feedback on this wheel or it's just a spring ? i would like to use it on ATS as well

At. This time there is not forced feed back. Appears to have a spring. This device uses hall sensors which will allow for longevity and increased accuracy. As far as using for Ats I would recommend using something else as this was designed specifically for farming simulator.

So I ordered the Logitech heavy equipment setup due to the fact that the reviews on the hori on Amazon are truly terrible.(basically apparently the steering wheel breaks within a month for many users) would I be able to buy a thrustmaster shifter/handle and plug it into the pc with the rest of the setup still being Logitech?just curious if you’ve tried it

The heavy equipment bundle is a great option. I’ve had my hori for a while and not had any issues a firmware update hasn’t fixed. As far the thrustmaster shift goes I really can’t speak to it as I haven’t used it. In theory it should still work fine you would just have to remap it to work. Hope this helps. Not sure if its me incorrctly following the instructions, but i cant get the controller to pop up next to the wheel in the app. The conputer recognizes that its plugged in, but not seeing anything after updating the firmware. The wheels shows up but not the controller

Update: plugged the controller "only" in without the wheel to see what would happen and is still not showing up in the Hori Device Manager. Also tried plugging in different ports. Must have a faulty controller. So much for Plug&Play. Has anyone else had this problem?

Try plugging the joystick in by itself to update it to the latest firmware

Great Review Jakedup, I was hoping you would do a video comparison. Awesome Awesome Buddy!!! This Helps Me So Much As I Was On The Fence About Which One To Eventually Get. If possible, can you test how the Hori Wheel Works In ATS?

You’re welcome. I would say if space is the issue that’s where Thrustmaster would be a good fit due to being able to use different mounting hardware to move the peripherals off of your desk. Hopefully this helps narrow it down for you. Yes pedals plug into the wheel just like the Logitech but with a much better cable

I got the Hori system and set it up per the instructions. It worked great......for a day and a half. Now the wheel takes off on it's on, i can't turn right, it is UNPLAYABLE! I reached out to Hori support on Tuesday. They have NOT gotten back to me. I really want to resolve this issue because it is the best design system for realistic play. But it's no good if you can't drive with it. Any suggestions?

I have had issues where it won’t turn right. What I have done to correct this is to unplug it and then plug it in again. Also using a microfiber cloth to clean the usb connection. My guess is that a firmware update should resolve the issue.

I appreciate you getting back to me. I did the unplug/plug and it would work about 5 minutes. Hooked up to my gaming laptop and worked about 10 minutes. I'll try to clean the ports. I hope Hori gets on an update ASAP. There is a window on returns. Thanks again for the reply. 👍

Why attack the Logitech, yes its plastic but so is the Hori, people including me have been using the Logitech for years and it has passed the test of time, it lasts, we'll see about the very expensive Hori. From the comments below it seems to give problems after a very short time.

I had it and it's the biggest piece of junk the weal is the only problem it was all meaded up missing peace and more it would just randomly turn fir no reason or stay turned even if you're not touching the wheel.
