It’s been wavetables for some time I would have thought. Locking the phase is a huge part as to why.

@@notsure1135 100% no resampling and easy melodies + is you use the sub seperation technique where the sub only plays in the latter half of the beat there is no need to phase allign too!

@@Projektor_music by that do you mean having two oscillators, dropping the first partial of the saw and having second oscillator as a sine wave, using lfo tool or kickstart 2 to side chain the bass to the kick and going from there? I’m a bit of a novice when it comes to the kick and bass side of things.

there is just something about the sound of serum that just sounds "better" I love vital.. I really do but there is just something about Serum that fits. Love it.

I'm starting to regret not getting Serum lately. I thought I would get by with just Vital. So next time it's half price, I will buy it. There's no rush. I got the whole Kilohearts ecosystem for half-price. Took a while but I got there in the end.😋

I got Serum off splice rent to own. You can pause the subscription and come back as you please.

I waited for a serum sale for over a year.. never seen it drop. But then I caught the interview with Steve & mr bill.. He said he wasnt fussed with people torrenting the synth & I paid full price that day!

@@fallenleaf24 there was an intro sale and that was the last of it, plus Steve was an early adopter of Rent to Own so it was "affordable" through the scheme. He must of earned a tonne of money from it already at this point and his overheads are very low, plus he seems like a good dude, so I think he will do the userbase a solid and offer Serum 2 as a free upgrade :D

@@BappinProductions he said he will offer serum 2 for free in the Mr bill interview. just his attitude & everything I have head of him make him deserving of my money! Yes he must have made a killing & like you say very low over heads. hes a top class man as far as I see it & still one of the best VSTs out there. I"m very happy I paid for it. Very worth saving for!
