With New World Season 4 PTR, a lot of PvP gear becomes upgradeable, giving us new paths to very good gear, including some illegal perk combos. The new expedition also comes with various new armor pieces with very strong illegal perk combos.

The heavy black Ice is one of the best for tanking since its not magnify like the azoth crystal tho

magnify is shit somtimes it´s hard to balance stats if you´r not crafting your self

They are actually breaking PvP. The fact that medium/heavy can run enchanted ward and ele aversion on prices is crazy. Wtf is going on

This happens in every mmo I have played. A burst meta comes, people complain about dying and eventually gear setups are added that make everyone take 3-5 full burst combos to kill. And that is usually when I fade out and move to the next mmo. Was hoping action based combat will help this one avoid that. We’ll see.

@DukeSloth Can you explain to me why you say that the "Heart of Cold" amulet isn't going to be "Best In Slot" for a mutation elemental protection piece? I personaly run Divine/Health/Elemental Protection on all my Mutation amulets because it keeps me alive and helps the healer keep me alive. If you're laying on the ground, it doesn't matter what else you might have on the amulet because you aren't doing your job and you are taking someone else away from doing their job to pick you up.

Ideal perk for speedruns etc is usually Empowered. But Divine is plenty good if you're not minmaxing for speedruns or specific builds.

Yea they make an elemental bow just to nerf all elemental weapons with it. FS and IG have the lowest base dmg of all weapons, GL dealing damage to someone with enchanted ward + elemental aversion on set.

Honestly, as a returning player.. the luck stuff is huge. Most people on my server are charging 3k+ for literally anything with luck and being able to get a full set for everything is a great for me. I don't look to events to give me BIS, but in terms of luck, this event will be BIS for those who enjoy chest runs and what not.

I think it's fine because it's magnify. If you use all 5 (or 4 and an artifact) then you add the weapon and jewelry magnify that's 7 magnify. Meaning 224 stat points. Meaning you are extremely limited on attributes you can run. Something like 400/50/150 or 150/50/400 con. So you really won't be able to take full advantage of the armor without running something a little out there.
