New ITE curriculum from 2022 to let students get Higher Nitec in 3 years instead of 4

Students at the Institute of Technical Education will be able to get their Higher Nitec certification in three years, down from the usual four. They will pick up fundamental skills in their first year, and move on to specialised modules and work attachments, leading to a Higher Nitec certification. Currently, students graduate with a Nitec after two years, and need to apply for admission to Higher Nitec programmes. ITE will roll out the new structure in phases. It will start with 16 courses in Business and Services, Info-communications Technology, as well as Engineering in 2022.

ITE Students are Capable of doing well don’t look down on us we have top students in our colleges who can fight with polytechnic students we are skilled in both practical and theory and we can get a decent job with our ITE certifications there are some who work overseas and earn good salary as well

ITE had A LOT of pervert cases, but the difference is, instead of being reported to the police, the cases undergo "internal disciplinary action". Not to mention, sheeps like u drives journalism to report only cases from high profile schools. Not to mention, ITE students who get reported to the police, all kena probation, yet when the same happen to NUS NTU, suddenly all make noise

There is never a waste of time. I am 25 and still only hold onto GCE Nlevel. I am drawing more than nearly 3.5k so if i were to take ite qualification PT i can potentially increase my salary bracket to 4k. So yeah...some dip holders even pte uni holders dont even come close to what i draw. The workforce looks at ur experience also. Qualifications yes but workskills and EQ in the workforce is important. Many ppl with qualifications work like an idiot on operational sites. Welcome to the workforce:)
