IWI Jerichos offer tremendous value. I love the all-steel 941FS, smooth smooth smooth, and full length rails. This new model actually looks like a good design. The barrels have polygonal rofling and chromed chrome molly vanadium steel, similar to milspec AR15 barrels. High value for the price!

Now if they'll make this with steel or aluminum frame. The 941 and Tristar T-120's are heavy but muzzle flip is so slight. And way more durable. If its good enough for the IDF and police force, its good enough for me.

@@92vanguard You're in luck if you want an all-steel version with full length rails. The 941 F9 4.4" and 941 FS9 3.8". I have experience with the steel frame models and I love shooting and carrying the 3.8" version. They're heavy, about 35 oz, require standard sturdy belt and holster. High rides help reduce the bulk and also conceal (like carrying a backpack higher up in your shoulders) They're slick...slicker and better built than stock CZs (not custom shop). Any criticism about heavy trigger, overblown. It might sound like it doesn't make sense, but the trigger pull feels much lighter when extended out to shoot because the pistol is heavy...think its because it takes a little more muscle to hold it. Almost no recoil, smooth cycle, not snappy. These pistols are a quiet giant in a crowded market of media hype. They're awesome and price puts them in reach for a lot of folks who want $800 performance ftom a $500 pistol. Btw, barrels are cold hammer forged, chrome molly vanadium steel, chromed, and have polygonal rifling.

Nice review, made me much more comfortable to go ahead and order one. Mine came in yesterday, and right off I noticed that they modified the magazines from yours to have the show windows drilled in the back (glock style), 17 of them. Otherwise, same as shown here and your shooting review video as well. Thank you.

My CZ-75B feels like a it has a two stage recoil spring. Once it goes back an inch the slide comes in contact with the hammer and has to push it slightly downward which is that "2nd stage" I feel.

Its perfectly okay to look down the barrel of a gun if double checked. I get its about safety but if your not dumb then it's fine. The same with checking the bore of a milsurp or any rifle, you look down the muzzle.

I *think* the 4.4" slides have a single-spring recoil spring and the 3.8" versions have a double recoil spring. The reason is the shorter slide is more demanding on the recoil spring. Remember also, the recoil spring on hammer actuated pistols, typically is lighter than on striker guns, making pistols with hammers somewhat easier to work the slide. The reason is striker fired pistols don't have a hammer spring to share the task of managing recoil and timing.

I had no idea IWI released a new Jericho until this video. Thanks for posting! I have my father's old IMI Jericho 941 with the safety on the slide leaving only 2 small slide serrations to grab on to when racking the slide. That made it hard to rack the slide and potentially engaging the safety if you ever need to rack the slide. The newer models gave you more slide serrations if you have the safety on the slide and the newest model have the safety on the frame. The new Jerichos look amazing. The new grip texture is enough of an upgrade for me if I was in the market for a new Jericho.

Good Review! Something I'd like to see you mention with CZ Clones, and particularly the Tanfoglio clones like the IWI and Sarsilmaz, is the half-cock intercept. And they are different. Most CZ 75 based DAs have a half-cock but the safety can not be engaged. When the safety is engaged the slide can not be moved. Tanfoglio based pistols are different in that with the manual safety engaged, and the hammer fully rearward, the slide can still be retracted. In other words with the slide locked back and the safety engaged the user can insert a loaded magazine, chamber a round while the manual safety is engaged. IMO, the FT based pistols are safe to carry with the hammer at half-cock which reduced the travel of the first DA shot. You can also engage the safety with the hammer at half-cock isf you have concerns about that mode. And lastly, specific to IWI, they use polygonal rifling in the cold-hammer-forged barrels which originated with HK. YMMV on that if you handload cast or poly-coated bullets. Another feature in which FT improved over the CZ design is the firing pin stop/safety. With FTs and clones, it is disengaged by lowering rather than needing to be lifted for the firing pin to move completely forward for ignition. In other words, since the FPS needs to move down to allow the firing pin to pass, this does not put any additional weight on the trigger pull. CZ and others that have to lift the FPS add additional weight to the trigger pull.

I know the CZ 75 was the original inspiration for the 1st Jericho line. This one screams P07 to me. I don't mean to imply its a bad copy or anything merely that the IWI line has evolved along similar lines to CZ's own

I’m one who wishes the safety WASN’T easier-I carry DA guns in DA mode and don’t like safeties that can easily get bumped on during carry. One thing I do prefer on CZ pistols with safety is that the safeties will not come on if the hammer is down, so cocked and locked people can do their thing, I can do mine. If the frame was steel the detent holes could be deepened a tad to stiffen the safety up but on a polymer auto, it is what it is. Oh well, I’ll keep carrying the CZ PCR. I do like how Jericho pistols shoot!

Thanks, After we got the account back I asked the KZbin staff about the momentum we lost (KZbin promotes the successful, so when your views stop channel-wide it can be devastating!). They told me it would take some time for the algorithm to re-learn the channel. Unfortunately I find that hard to believe as there was already 8 years and 1,277 videos of data! So far we've seen revenue almost completely gone, and views lower than normal, but I suppose it's better than losing the channel completely.

This actually makes me want to upgrade my venerable 941 FL, which is so old it's an original IMI. The thing about Jerichos is, they never really changed much over the years. I could take any internal part from my old 941 FL and swap it for a new-production PL and it would just work. This is the only significant change to the Jericho line in two decades. Everything else has been entirely cosmetic. The Jericho Enhanced, though, has significantly better controls.

You don't need to pull the trigger to take down. The polymer frame models don't have full length rails. Polymer models have four rail tabs, two on each of two steel rail inserts. It's plenty durable and functions well...similar rail design to other polymers like Glock, M&P, H&K (molded in, not pinned), Sig, Sprinfield, etc. The all-steel models 941, have full length rails machined in the frame. The all steel versions are strong as tanks and slick performers...I guess you could say "bomb proof".

Nice, I have the stainless or some alloy frame without a rail. I like the looks of it but it has crappy battle sights and has never grouped well. I called Dawson. He said they have baby eagle sights but thought I better sent it in.

Looks like a nice gun. Too bad they didn't include a decocker.

Interesting that they 3 slotted the guide rod section of the slide a nice extra step to lose a little weight

BTW, some Jericho will take CZ 75 mags, may not fit perfect, but will lock up and function, this because the slide design of running inside the frame and the action at the top, is about the same as CZ......at least some models I know of.....like the old 941 when IWI was IMI.......these pieces are like art IMO.......most made like a fine Swiss watch......the machining is about flawless.....again, at least the older ones are, from what I have seen

I have several Jerichos, from the original KBI imports up until the Generation 3 with the railed dust covers. All of mine are steel. They accept CZ75/SP01 mags without issue. The Mecgar versions are cheaper and in my experience much more reliable than OEM.

I've held and put a mag or two through the original. I just can't find the original in my area. Hopefully, I can soon. I know there is some clones that are very very nice but this is one of those guns I want to be the real deal, even though this itself is essentially a cz clone. Sweet looking gun!

These will use regular, less expensive CZ 16 round mags though. I think P-09s will also, but I don't know if they are as reliable in that gun as the P-09 mags are.

Would you ever use the double action trigger since when you rack and put it into single action. The only way to put it back is pulling on the trigger......0

The Sarsilmasz aren't clones of the Jericho. They are CZ75 clones. Which the Jericho is also a clone of. So it would be more apt to call them "cousins".

Does the 3.8" subcompact version have the same grip length as the 4.4"?

I would think its a tad shorter since 3.8 is 16 round. Got the 3.8 in my cart trying to see if I should "pull the trigger". 😁
