Very exciting development. One of my favorite Lego KZbinrs bought a studio space and moved his entire operation into it about a year ago, vastly expanding his city and display space. It was a big change but has resulted in a ton of awesome progress with his builds and videos. It'll be awesome to see what you do with this new space to build your layout.

Great to see it in exhibition mode Richard! And no, I wasn't screaming at the screen, as I realised that, when it was in the old place, there was no fiddle yard; it meant moving it required you to build one. I knew you would mention that, but please, take your time building it! But yeah, it's a great new home, but it needs pictures of class 47s in BR sectorisation days on it. If only you knew someone with thirty five class 47s on their layout......! Not forgetting, hopefully see you at Model Rail Scotland!

Hugely envious of the space you have there, currently my layout is in my garden cabin and east to access at the drop of a hat, but I can’t help thinking that your new unit is a journey away, and also the security aspect would be a concern, these trains ain’t cheap, especially some of the 10-11 car monsters you have. Looking forward to seeing you getting all running again, keep up the good work and keep those videos coming.

What a upgrade. Looking forward to see what comes next. Is it a temperature controlled space? I’d be worried about the wood flexing if not. Unrelated question, do you plan to grab a railroad 80x to compare to the full model? Tempted to get either the Azuma one as a WCML visitor or a GWR one to model the Euston diversions but don’t feel like spending on the full detail models for a out of location model (at least not yet 😅).

Wondered if the 'exhibition mode' topology would be pure oval or more dumbbell in shape… certainly the idea of avoiding having to duck under a layout has some appeal to me as I near the end of my 6th decade, but I guess to some extent it’d depend on how expansive your planned fiddle yard is.

Think most of us would love to be a position to have that much room to have a layout - sadly while I have a collection of stock (which seems to keep growing of its own free will) no room to even contemplate a layout - may be possible if I didn't have other interests to occupy me. Watching you move your layout, do you have info on Richard of Everard Junction? Must be nearly ten months since he said he was going to have to break up his then layout to move/rebuild it.
