This video helps a lot. As a plumbing contractor myself, I went with the San Jose WP a year ago and they've held up super well. I'm in the Midwest so that means snow, mud, rain, etc. I was looking at picking up the Cincinnati, so thanks for the vid.

Thank you!! All the stores local only had the Cincinnati in stock, no San Jose to compare. I simply wanted a slightly less bulky boot for my uses. Your comparison helped me order the San Jose. Thanks again!

I'm going to try out the Cincinnatis... I've been in the trades many years and have tried almost all the boot brands out there and almost always you get what you pay for.. comfort is very important but also durability. So far in my experience thorogood is the best overall. I've had multiple pairs. They have zero break in period unlike other brands. Comfortable day one.They are a little pricey coming in around $250 but your feet will thank you and there durability is outstanding. Sometimes it's cheaper in the long run to pay more. We'll see how these keens hold up.. I know they make great hiking boots but work boots is another animal

I understand this is an old video but my very recent pair San Jose's now have the Keen inner liner and a rope type laces. Yes, they are very comfortable. I walk on concrete 12 hours a day. My knees and lower back are very happy. Best money i've spent in a while.

With you guys on the San Jose - I wore a pair for two years in the office and the comfort was outstanding - just wish they were a tad more durable, although they weren't bad the couple times I wore them hunting. My soles wore out and I picked up the '59 Mocs last week. Love Keen.

@@Truckerraf only used them for 3 weeks but no problems yet. The metal toe is a must on boots when working in shipping packages if you drop a package on your foot it’s no big deal my old boots didn’t have that so I really appreciate it now. I’m think long about buying a sole insert to make them a little more comfortable that’s really the only downside but I think that would be a problem with any work boot. If I remember right these have an aluminum toe which is lighter so that’s a plus as well.
@Omegaoutlaw843 жыл бұрын
@@Truckerraf the wedge style boot is a must as well when you only really work on mostly flat concrete or asphalt surfaces. Having that flat bottom like a tennis shoe is nice. Hope this information helps you out.

Wow. I bought a pair of Cincinnati's last week. They are extremely comfortable other than the top is biting into my upper ankle/shin area, i'm getting used to it. I ordered a pair of Thorogood American Heritage Moc Toes yesterday also. I've bought NOTHING but Keen boots and shoes for the last 12+ years. Some of their stuff is pure garbage, I have found the Assembled in USA stuff to be their best products. Glad to hear a heavy tradesman feels like these are holding up good!

Thanks for the review and describing the benefits of the wedge sole when working on concrete all day. I have been working in a warehouse for 6 months and have tried 2 different csa boots with heels and feet are in pain - I believe its plantar fasciitis. I have tried multiple insoles with minimal relief. The wedge sole with the support under the mid foot makes sense for working on hard surfaces.
@mechanical-hub2 жыл бұрын
Glad it was helpful! I have a mild case of Plantar Fasciitis too, I switch between the Keen Utility Cincinnati boots and a almost athletic like safety show called the Vista Energy (also Keen Utility). The Vista shoes are pull-on and are crazy comfortable, I never knew I'd like a pair of pull-on shoes but they're awesome.

I have been wearing the San Jose low top as a journeyman electrician doing service work for about 15 months I really like the boot for medium duty! granted I am in and out of office spaces or residential and never really hard on my boots. Now if I was on new construction sites like when I first turned out the San Jose boot wouldn’t last. But I’ll definitely look in to the Cincinnati if I am looking in to going back to new construction. Thanks for your review and good luck with the new boot!

I have worn Justin, Ariat, Twisted x, Brahma, before finding keen. I have loved both styles I have tried. I am on my second pair of San Jose and they are great. San Jose do not hold up to my work environment. I am a service tech in a papermill and I am lucky to get 6 months out of them. I will get the Cincinnati next time so they can be resoled. My company pays for them but I want an extra pair in case I get completely soaked. Also, my first pair of San Jose I weighed 372lbs and they felt good for a BIG foot. Great review! Thanks

I work at a papermill too in Oklahoma and looking at the San Jose. Did you have any issues with the sole separating from the boot? Also did you stick with waterproof or unlined
@bigchiefderek444610 ай бұрын
@BBrowning I didn't have waterproof available. The rubber did separate from the luft cell sole rather quickly. My second pair are still in good shape but I have rotated my boots. I was hoping to have them resoled but I did not realize they could not be repaired. Great boots but I think for a different work environment.

I have keens and Redwings, and Redwings are like Harleys. You're paying 3 times the amount for something with outdated basic ass tech, its competition has far surpassed them, and barely does the job its supposed to do, but somehow everyone likes to have that "badge" like it says something about them. I know because I have a few bikes including a Harley and my streetglide is the worst bike in my lineup. Just like my redwings that sit on my shelf most of the time, the harley sits in my garage while im out on either the Victory, suzuki or kawi. Can you guess out of all those bikes which has the Most problems???? LMFAO yup. same as the redwings, hotspots, uncomfortable and wear out fast. you can buy the name or you can buy something thats actually functional. up to you.
