A few US SPAA I think could be added are: The T77 MGMC (An M24 Chaffee armed with 6 .50 cals. in a new turret), the XM246 (The entry from General Dynamics into the DIVADs contest, aka what was to become the M247 Sgt. York), the M114A2 (As you mentioned, which is an M114 ACP armed with a 20mm Hispano-Suiza HS.820 in a semi-closed turret), and the the T85E1 (A Stuart chassis armed with four 20mm Oerlikons).

I'm ok with gaijin adding the skink, but they should give it the anti-armor shells, there are reports on the British 20mm (the same used on the skink and other british AA) being abble to penetrate 50mm of armor from 100m away, and then gaijin makes the vehicle only capable of pen 38mm of armor... Also gaijin how about you give the *British* M3 lee Grant for the british too? 🤨

@@DawgIVLife How about an M8 Greyhound for the U.S. but in the normal tech tree instead of behind a paywall. It has a .50 Cal that is great for low tier CAS. If they can't do that then they should lock the one in the Chinese tech tree behind a paywall too. If anyone wants to keep playing the Chinese M8, they would need to pay to do so. The U.S needs more wheeled vehicles that are not behind a paywall. There are others already in the game, but you have to buy them all now. Lastly Half tracks are just that. Half tracks, and not fully wheeled vehicles. The U.S. is not alone in this need for wheeled vehicles. Event vehicles were always a bad idea anyway especially for people that weren't playing the game at the time of the event.

An explanation to on why it has lower pen values in game compared to irl is because a few years back Gaijin changed the way armor penetration calculation worked. From historical documents and data on how much they could pen irl to a new formula or system which calculates everything. Idk what it's called but you'll prob find it if you search for it.

@@DawgIVLife Deal, but only if it's added as a reserve 1.0 with a 30 cal for anti CAS, and then move the other 2 Greyhounds to at least BR 2.0 or higher. Greyhounds, with their .50 cal and 37mm are more than a match for an M 22 Locust as well as quite a few other vehicles. Unfortunately None of this will ever happen.

They never specified if the event vehicle was premium, so assuming it's not, it's been a common theme that non premium event vehicles are often higher tier vehicles Object 292, Mississippi, F14 and the lasted battleship for reference. Given that it's probably gonna be a Leo type or a boxer vehicle in my opinion, knowing that the boxer was one of the "leaked" vehicles not that long ago

@DawgIVLife well, it is sure better to add a mix of the panther 2 and tiger 105 than to add something modern again. The Germans in ww2 had a lot of crazy project vehicles, and the Löwe was one of them, fortunately. If built, it would have had very good armor, moderate speed, and good firepower. Let's not look at things as fake when they existed in some way. At least this hit the drawing board but lost in favor of the Maus. If we call this fake then we also have to call a lot if the german stuff fake like, the ostwind 2, the kueglblitz, the waffentrager, and the Tiger 2 Sla. 16

Ship gameplay improvements are good and all, but you need some actual ships to make them applicable. How about an update that focuses entirely on breathing new life into the naval gameplay? How about a submarine mode (a la Helicopter mode)? New late-war battleships? AA missiles for nations BESIDES Russia? New swamp-type maps for coastal boats? Your naval gameplay seems almost completely forgotten, Gaijin. There's very little to it so far. When are you going to put some actual work into it?

The problem with naval isn't the mode its that the concept of naval warfare is boring to most people and only the popular ships are even known. There is so many ships in WT right now that no one ever heard of till it was added. That is very rare for a aircraft or a tank.

@@DawgIVLife Unless you're a tank/aircraft enthusiast anyway, I doubt that. Now, because I'm a bit of a plane and WWII history enthusiast myself I knew about the Mustang, Thunderbolt, Lightning, Flying Fortress, Superfortress (most people might know about these five if they knew anything about WWII or saw a picture) and the Warhawk. (These are all US aircraft, but I'll come around to that point.) I learned about the Vindicator, Wildcat, Hellcat, Corsair, and Devastator through naval docs. Of the naval aircraft I also bet people are relatively familiar the Avenger and Dauntless. Then you have the Phantom, Tomcat, Eagle and Falcon/Viper because they're among the most prolific and successful fighters in modern history. On the other hand, I would have struggled to name anything aside from a Spitfire, Messerschmidts, the Swordfish, Zeroes, or Fockewulfs for the WWII era. Saabs, MIGs, Sukhois, and Tupolevs for the modern era, but apart from the Spitfire and Swordfish, I'd struggle to match the exact models to their pictures. I'll grant you that most people are more aware of their own nations' stuff than those of others, so it probably rings true in a respective manner for other nations. Aside from the Shermans, Panthers and Tigers, though, I only knew about the Abrams because it was our current MBT. I couldn't have picked any Russian tank out of a lineup. I found out about the Pershing's existence when I played Company of Heroes, but that was about the extent of my knowledge. Point being, there are plenty of ships among individual nations as well that are plenty famous. IJN Yamato, Musashi, USS Iowa, Missouri, New Jersey, Texas, Enterprise, Gearing, Johnston, HMS Rodney, King George V, Invincible, Hood, KMS Graf Spee, Bismarck, Tirpitz, Scharnhorst, and the list goes on. Many of those ships are, like other things mentioned above, more familiar to the country of origin or enthusiasts, but are every bit as, if not more, famous or infamous regardless. My original point was that Naval hasn't even broken into the upper BRs yet, and there is still plenty of space and lots of famous and less famous ships of different eras to go. This is to say nothing of conceptual ships that were planned but never got off the page. There's still plenty of room to grow and expand upon it. It's my favorite game mode, but seems to get no real love.

If a graphic setting adds realism at the expense of visibility, you should not be able to toggle it off. Unless it impacts game performance, as in fps, in which case it should not be implemented. You should not be punished for wanting realism in war thunder of all games.

@@DawgIVLife If enabling it obfuscates an enemy in any way, then having it enabled is detrimental, giving an advantage to those who chose not to enable it. In this case, you should not be able to disable it. For instance, if you could disable gun smoke from a tank gun, then having it enabled would put you at a disadvantage. Just have everyone enjoy and suffer equally when it comes to visual effects.

@@Procrastinater iirc gunner sight grass is on by default you can turn off grass in the gunner view. Vapor can be a toggle just like grass in tank sight is.
