You know what the real problem is with Tiktok makeup recommendations? Is that these Tiktokers are recommending makeup products and routines that very specifically only look good on camera. Like they're recommending things with the idea that you're going to wear it in a filtered video/photo so what they end up recommending is impractical or just bad advice.

This used to be every beauty youtuber under studio lights though. They were all about the matte full coverage base and metallic highlighters. They're basically why Tarte Shape Tape flew off the shelves, and I also think they're why skin tints and no-makeup makeup looks started to gain popularity in 2018. I couldn't have been the only one traumatized when I saw myself in the car mirror in broad daylight with those kinds of products on. They just don't translate off camera regardless of the brand.

The melt blush in honey thief is absolutely stunning. It’s one of the shades without sparkle but is definitely not matte. I find that a brush can pick up my foundation and be a bit too heavy handed, but applying with a sponge is 👌. Perfect blushing bride kinda blush and will be wearing to my wedding.

That catrice highlighter is amazing. I got it recently and love it. And I also agree that they are an amazing brand! I love their cheek products, especially the contour powder and setting powder. I also got a sample of that tarte cream bronzer and it’s great. I actually am not a huge fan of cream products, but that bronzer has such good staying power that I absolutely love it.

i got the KVD foundation and personally I'm a huge fan, but i dont use it quite as intended. I use the tiniest amount to hide discoloration and redness, just barely dipping my brush in (so its barely full-coverage) and use hella setting powder. it lasted through my shift while wearing a mask. but I imagine slapping it on as full-coverage as intended won't last nearly as long (or look as good after a while!) I'm glad i like it though bc that stuff was EXPENSIVE and I'm sure ill get more longevity out of the product using it minimally.

You know what else works really well with the Hollywood Flawless Filter? The Huda stick foundation. I never thought I liked Huda, I bought oneof those 9 pan palettes with the "wet" shades that inevitably dry out before the rest of the pans get used but I bought the big brush, its really freakin' good! Then I got the stick foundation and i love it! Next I got the contour mousse & I love slapping it all around my face 😄. I also got the Milk primer and im so happy, ive wanted that green goop for so long but Milk didnt want to come to Australia, milk said "you cant sit here" so we didnt. If anyone cares, L'Oreal have released a dupe of hydrogrip except its purple, not green. OMG, the Marc Jacobs powder that came out with that foundation/concealer is AMAZING, Accomplice is the powder, Im a medium skin tone and got 52 Siren, it just looks beautiful when used to set makeup. I've seen a lot of videos of people trying to promote it but really they werent doing the powder any favours. It is not going to replace your foundation. It sets your foundatuon and makes your skin look beautiful but its not going to tepla e everything you currently need

I actually asked your advice on Milk Makeup Hannah and you answered me, I was so shocked because to us, your "fans" or "subscribers", we adore you. So when you suggested individual items i might like i was blown away. When you fell out with the Oles girl, I battled bitches down because I was not having any buck-toothed pommy try and run my Hannah or "Smokey" down, I just wasnt having it. You know you're a Social Worker and I'm a Welfare Worker (very similar fields, we would usually be on teams together, you have 1 year additional training on me, you hold a degree, I hold an advanced diploma. A Social Worker would be a Team Leader of several Welfare Workers) so because of this, I've always felt a bond, like i know its not there, its completely imagined on my side but its one of the reasons I love you, your content, your take on the world around us 😊

If you like the Fenty skin tint you should try the Wet n Wild one. It’s $4 and it’s 3000000000 times better in my opinion (and I’m someone who always prefers the high end version of products).
