I think the devs aren't getting much resources from activision blizzard because I do not believe that they are blind to Marvel Rivals' success and that they aren't trying to kill the game. I think actiblizz is just not giving the blizzard devs the resources they needs.

If you have the original (you most likely got for free in the past) but like the recolor way more it could be worth it. So far I only bought one recolor-Skin (from the Demon-Orisa-Skin) but because I really am more fond of the color-scheme the recolor had to offer.

I really wish the recolors were like Chromas in LoL, where you can own the base skin and then the recolors are just a small extra cost. Sort of like the gold recolors for mythic skins that they have now...

Game has regular $250 and even a $500 skin.... however i don't think OW in general is that bad compared to most other games I play. It gets a little too much hate. I see it this way. Each season we get completly new skin designs but for every new skin to be unique they would need more time to make them in advance. The Recolors are easier to made but they can offer something else besides the brand-new skins. Sometimes you might see a recolor of a skin you really like and then you have times where you aren´t interested in all.

The important difference here is that MR just got released and therefore everything they offer is brand new and during their time of development had much time to make stuff in advance. OW also gave us brand new cosmetics in the BP and the shop but while preparing the next wave of skins they also do other work on the game so not every cosmetic can´t be brand-new. Kinda obvious if you think about it.

@ true MR is new. But let’s not forget OW2 was a shop update that comes with a game. Reselling recolors and Prisms being expensive. Still pretty bad. Also half ass’d highlight intros and other cosmetics have gone down in quality.

If you buy a T-Shirt with a certain Logo and then see another T-Shirt in the shop which looks almost the same but you like it, too do you think the shop owner would just give it to you for free because you own another version of it? @@93Chowo it doesn't work like that, because the skin doesn't have new rigging, nor effects, nor 3Dmodels, the only thing that changes is the texture, so you can't compare that to tshirts. they have sold skins for 32 bucks, and texture is arguably only 1/4 of the work that a skin requires, so recolors should be only 8 bucks, but greedy blizzard doesnt think that way, they want to charge you full price for work that is already done and recycled. and if a recolor is ugly, yes, absolutely nobody will grind for it, but if the recolor is better than the original for the player, that player will be farming, will be playing the game. at the end of the day blizzard became way too greedy thinking that nobody can replace them, and we will see now.

@@neroptah You exaggerating with the prices because the skin alone is only 20$ which for some is still high but to each their own. I would like to ask if you´re not interested in Recolored skins why even complain about the price? They make them which doesn´t mean you have to get it and if you really like a skin, as I said before, you see it worth the full price no matter if you have the original skin or not. If the skins are good or bad is simply personal preference even if the method of creating those skins is considered lazy. I made the the T-Shirt comparison because that´s how it is with things - even if they´re mostly similar you can´t expect to get everything for cheapier or free because of that. At the end of the day you can play the game just fine without getting any cosmetics and I´m sure there are people who actually do it and if players like to spend their money on things they like that´s alright, too.

You focus too much on the monetization part of the game and what mistakes Blizzard did with the game. If you´re still playing the game then I would like to know what´s your reason? I was excited for PvE, too but if it´s not coming well too bad but was it the only thing which kept me playing OW, no it wasn´t. They still introduce new interesting heroes to play now and then make a new gamemode which potentially could hint on something they are working on in the background and I can continue play the heroes I like as each season they introduce new balance-changes and sometimes reworks to exsiting things so that the game can doesn´t become stale. You can say that I have low standards but believe me I rather have that and be entertained by the small things then to always have high expectations and to be dissapointed if it doesn´t turn out as I want it to be like how you can unlock stuff in OW.
