Would you use this Packout Cabinet for taking to the job site or use in your garage?
@maihemrc10 ай бұрын
I put it on the short seat (stowed) side of the back seat of my truck, facing toward the passenger side door, to keep my PPE in...with a two drawer cabinet on top to hold other tools and site survey items.

Very impressed with the rain testing
@MarkThomasBuilder2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, if you're at a job site and the rain unexpectedly moves in, there's no worry to quickly roll this in.
@AntonioClaudioMichael2 жыл бұрын
@@MarkThomasBuilder that is very nice for sure can't remeber how many times I have had to move shop vacs and saws inside while doing work because rain came out of no were

For the most part I quit using the top lid boxes . This is a great box I use it for the large circular saw. I hope they make a single large drawer for the rolling cart base.
@MarkThomasBuilder2 жыл бұрын
Hey Philip, that is a great idea.

Yessss. One LARGE pull out base!

I gotta say, as much as I love Milwaukee and packout, I just don't see myself using this a whole lot, I have the XL and all I put in it is a spare garden hose. The 2 drawer will be my next purchase for sure. Great video!

Thanks, I highly recommend the 2 drawer Packout.

I’d definitely get a couple of that for the garage, I have lots of aerosol cans and hand tools that could be stored in them and I could hang one outside and store garden tools and water hose nozzles etc.
@kingofthecrease302 жыл бұрын
exactly what i was going to say...its more made to hang on the wall in the garage or if it could be mounted to the side wall in a contractor van...dont see much use on a packout rolling box set up

Good point.

Just build a cabinet...
@arcticheroh Жыл бұрын
@@kingofthecrease30 In restoration, it keeps dust out of the cabinet. This can come in handy to store personal items, cleaning products, or any tools you'd need to bring up like a circular saw which is rarely needed for demolition side of mold restoration.
@AntonioClaudioMichael2 жыл бұрын
The cabinet goes well with the 2 and 3 drawer packouts wish the cabinet had the metal bars like the 2 and 3 drawer systems

Great video, your material was presented very well. I made a similar video with my packout cabinet and I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one. Keep the great content going!
@Uberkeko.Ай бұрын
Insane pricetag, there is tons of plastic companies that can deliver similar things even with simple side latches like the cheap erbauer system. Nobody needs a super advanced stack system, all we need is solid drawer boxes
@AntonioClaudioMichael2 жыл бұрын
I would mount these on the wall in the shop more then for taking places but they might come in handy on the automotive service trucks

I'm probably going to just use mine in the shop, but it's nice I can unhook it easily if needed and roll it somewhere.

Nice video. I just want to know if you can use this one on a regular packout set. I already have the 3 pieces pack out it is possible to use this one on top of that ones?
@MarkThomasBuilder Жыл бұрын
Yes, that's possible. I'm hearing several people saying they plan to use this in their garage or shop and take the 2 or 3 drawer Packout on the rolling set.
@markto3606 Жыл бұрын
For me, the cabinet is more practical for the garage. My Ryobi 18 gauge Brad nailer and my 16 gauge finisher nailer fit nicely on the 2 drawer pack-out which is nice. The pack-out cabinet needs to be one big drawer the open-up style feels impractical like items might spill out once you open it up but seems nice for storage for aerosol cans, handheld lights, portable radios, and tire inflator.

bring it with me for easier quick access to larger tools or multiple tools, mainly saws

I agree. It's nice when you don't have to unstack the Packouts.

Will be buying the cabinet based on your review, however, how do you like the Milwaukee Dolly system, is it worth $229?
@MarkThomasBuilder2 жыл бұрын
Thanks DCC, I like the 4 wheel $99 utility cart dolly for around my shop. It's very handy. The 2 wheel dolly is decent, but isn't as nice as I expected it to be. I'm glad I have it and use it frequently, but the bottom flap seems a little light for using as an appliance dolly. The wheels are a little close together, making it a challenge to roll sideways on a slight incline. It needs a wider wheelbase for my needs. Other than that, I like it and glad I own it. Maybe they'll launch a Gen 2 version.

Nice, i gonna buy 8 of these and stack them on a 1 inch plywood in my new Ford Transit using StealthMounts Packout Mounting Cleats from amazon. I gonna put all my Refrigeration Tools and parts in it. These are the best cabinets from Milwaukee.

Sounds like a good idea. I'm looking forward to replacing some of my old garage storage cabinets with some of the new Packout items, like this cabinet. You'll see it on my channel soon.

I think this is good for mounting on the wall but I don't like it for loading on a cart. Anything you put in there is going to move around and I also don't like reaching in for things. We need a rolling box with drawers and the wheels mounted outside, not recessed like the existing rolling box where they take up space in the box.
@MarkThomasBuilder2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you on those points. I'm working on a spot in my garage to put these cabinets and not bring them with me on the rolling setup.

The size is confusing. It’s not quite as wide as normal wide boxes. Waste of space!
@MarkThomasBuilder Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure why. Maybe the wall system needs it to be less wide. I'll have to test it out.
